I met my Father, and lashed out at him. And then snuggled up close to him like he'd been there forever. Dad took me to the park. While we were at the park, I was taken hostage by a group of weeping angel statues. Only these ones were a hybrid. I screamed and Dad came running with his sonic screwdriver in hand. I truly was terrified. Dad couldn't get close without hurting me in the process. But I grabbed my water pistol from inside my jacket and held it the way Mom taught me to and then squirted the statues. The statues disintegrated into dust. Then I ran over to Dad and hugged him as best as I could since I was so short. Dad asked what it was. I smirked and explained that it was a water pistol. We returned to the house. I'd fallen asleep on the way home. Dad carried me to the park and carried me back to the house and walked in and walked up the stairs into my room and set me on the bed and tucked me in. I slept peacefully for a while. Then around midnight I had a really bad nightmare and woke up and climbed out of bed and changed into pajamas and walked out of my room and walked over to Dad's room and knocked on the door. I heard him say: "come in." I opened his door and walked in and closed the door behind me and walked over and pulled myself up onto the bed beside him. I couldn't do this with Mom. The first time I had a really bad nightmare and went to Mom, I wound up on the floor. I said quietly: "can I stay in here with you? I had a nightmare." Dad looked at me with sympathy and said: "of course you can." He pulled the covers back and I crawled under the covers beside him and fell back asleep immediately. He pulled the covers up around us and fell back asleep immediately himself after pulling me into his arms. I snuggled up close to him like a little girl. I mean, let's be honest. I am a little girl. A little girl who needed her Father really bad. And Dad gladly let me stay with him. I know that I can always come to him when I have a nightmare. I can't go to Mom when I have a nightmare. But I can always come to Dad when I have a nightmare. Dad was there when I needed him. For this, I was glad that I have a Dad who cares. I'm lucky in that respect. Most girls my age either have no parents, parents who are divorced, or parents who abuse them. Me, I have two parents who cares about me. Even if one of them is a crazy time traveling man with a sonic screwdriver! But I love him regardless. The next morning Dad and I made breakfast for Mom and then attempted to work on my homework but didn't get very far. Then Dad told me to grab my jacket and meet him downstairs. I didn't hesitate. I didn't know what to expect, all I knew was that we were going on an adventure. So I grabbed my jacket and zipped down the stairs. I heard Dad ask Mom if she minded if he took me for a ride. She said as long as I stayed close to Dad, then she didn't mind. Then Dad came jogging down the stairs. He picked me up and settled me on his hip and walked outside. I saw a blue phone box in the front yard and looked at Dad and said: "what's that?" Dad smiled and said: "you'll see in a second." He opened the doors and walked in and set me down and closed the doors behind him. I looked around and said: "okay, it's bigger on the inside. So this must be the TARDIS. Mom told me about it. She told me stories about all the adventures you two went on." Dad smiled and said: "this is my mode of transportation." I bit my lip. I wanted to ask Dad about Gallifrey. But Mom said it was a touchy subject for him. Unfortunately for me, Dad noticed and said: "you want to ask me about Gallifrey." I looked at Dad and said: "how did you know that?" Dad sat down on a nearby couch and said: "you had that look on your face. I recognize it all too well. Your Mom often had that look on her face. She told you that it was a touchy subject for me, yes?" I nodded. Dad took a deep breath and said: "I admit that it is hard for me to talk about. But I think you deserve to know about it. I don't expect you to comprehend it." I walked over and hopped up beside him and said: "Dad, I blasted a group of hybrid weeping angel statues and was able to identify them. I've read every book in the library. Particularly the alien ones. They were all in Gallifreyan. I'm glad I'm fluent in the Gallifreyan language." Then Dad told me about Gallifrey. When he was done, he was crying silently. I instinctively launched myself into his arms and hugged him like my lives depended on it. Dad wrapped his arms around me in return. I said: "Dad, you did what you had to do. Nobody blames you for that. I know Mom doesn't blame you for that. And neither do I." Dad laid his head on my shoulder. I let him. After a while we pulled away. Then Dad stood and walked over to the console and flipped a few switches and put something in the navcomputer and pushed the lever forward. Then we lifted off.
