thrashing and flooding and shoving
dear rain why must you drown the river
how do you drown a river?
it is already flooding
let her thrash and throw her tantrums
let her be angry with the trees and the useless pebbles that hurt her feet
nature of a river
thrashing and flooding and blocked by a dam
why must you damn the river
it is still overwhelmed with itself
nature of a river
crying and pushing against an unmovable force
"maybe this dam will move if I thrust my flood hard enough"
but the flood only splashes back and the river loses part of itself, even when it rains
nature of a river
who said you had to be so quick and powerful?
