2-Two of us

Audrey streched her arm a little, she opened her eyes a bit and checked her watch, it's 6 o'clock in the morning. She had nothing to do that day so she planned on to sleep a little longer. She turned around, "Holy crap!". She yelled but it wasn't too loud. She had no idea what happened and she didn't know what to do. All she saw was Melendez beside her, naked. Fortunately, he was still asleep.

"God damn, did I..." She looked in the blanket and sighed.

She got out of bed and slowly picked up her clothes that smelled like Bourbon from last night. Walking gently and silently as she could ever be, trying not to wake Neil up.

"Oh" Neil turned around, waking up discovering Audrey standing up and naked.

They watched eachother in silence for a few minutes. It felt awkward and a bit weird since they are sleeping with their colleague.

"Um, uh, good morning Neil. Hope you had a nice sleep. You know like uh... yeah like..." She looked and spoke to him in awkwardness. She quickly dressed up.

"Yeah... yeah. Hope you slept well too." Neil just remembered what happened last night and now he can't even face her any more.

"Yeah... uh I'll go to the restroom for a sec. Uh... you can uh... yeah." She murmured a little and headed restroom, giving Neil some space.

"Okay... I drink with her for a bit, well, maybe more than a bit. And we some how ended in my bed. And now she is naked..." Neil thought. And quickly dressed up and walked out of the room to the living room.

"Audrey, listen..." "No, I'll speak first." Audrey interrupted. Now Neil had seen how stubborn and competetive this woman is infront of him.

"Okay, so, I know this is not the best way to start a relationship with a colleague which, ha will probably be working together for a long time. I think we should stop 'this' kind of relationship between us. Mostly because that the hospital's policy goes against it..." She said calmly which is kind of what is the opposit of Neil.

"Okay, now is it my turn?" Neil asked. Audrey stayed silence. "Good. So, I understand that we should end it. But the thing is, last night, I didn't wear-"

"Okay okay Neil, shut up right there. I know that, and uh the worst thing that can possibly happen to me is getting pregnant which is not a big deal." Neil raised his eye brows. " Whatever, but Neil..." She stopped.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I'm in love with you" before Neil could even think, she kissed him. Right on the lips.

Then she stood up and picked up her bag and walked to the door. "I'm gonna go grab something to eat. So, yeah I will be back." she said casually like nothing had had happened between them.

"But you don't have a car-" said Neil in concern.

"It's okay, I left my Ducati at the bar, I can walk there and pick my baby up." said Audrey cheerfully.

Then she slammed the door behind her. "what a weird woman. Doesn't have an appartment but owns a Ducati. Well the kind of weird woman I like."
