After a long night of waiting, Audrey sat beside Melendez's bed the whole time. She held his hand tightly trying to feel a movement from Melendez. She was exhausted after the shift and what had happened 10 hours ago.

"Just wake up Neil, c'mon." Audrey sighed silently. The way of not closing her eyes for 20 hours isn't easy for her. All of a sudden, she heard Neil calling her name. "Audrey..." Neil called.

"Neil!" Audrey answered in surprise. "Neil, how are you feeling."

"I'm fine, what... what happened?" Neil asked. He sat up revealing the wound. "Have you been here the whole time?"

"Well yes, you were in a car crash last night and you were in a concussion..." Audrey explained. "You better lie back again that's good for recovering."

"Thank you Aud, thanks for being there for me." Said Neil. Audrey smiled in relief.

"I'm glad you are ok." Audrey stroked the back of his head. "Well, I better tell Andrews that you are awake!" Audrey stood up to get to the door. "Audrey!" Neil called.

"Yes?" Audrey turned around.

"I just wanna say thank you, again" Neil said. Audrey smiled and turned around again.

"Doctor Andrews? Dr Melendez is awake." Audrey ran over to Andrews.

"That's good news, Dr Lim, you can go home and get some rest, maybe?" Andrews suggested, mainly because he knew something was going on between them. "By the way, you, me and Melendez are going to talk about it afterwards."

Lim nodded. "Understood...". But instead of going back home, she headed back to Neil's room.

"Neil, hey, How you feeling?" Audrey gently kissed him on the forehead.

"I'm fine," Neil explained. "why don't you go home n get some rest? You've had enough of last night."

"I'm good, but I think maybe Andrews noticed something between us," Audrey said in concern. "One of us can be fired if he found out."

"Don't worry babe." Neil comforted. "We will work it out after I'm better." Audrey smiled while she didn't notice Andrews at the door watching.

"Doctor Lim can I have a minute..." Andrews ordered while staring at Melendez who was on the bed as he noticed something was wrong. Audrey shook her head in helplessness.

"Doctor Lim, the chief and I all noticed something between you and Doctor Melendez. I am not saying it is wrong but I bet you know that the hospital goes against it. I want you and Neil can work it out..." Andrews sighed. "I believe that Dr Glassman would need to loose one of you, at least! Have I made myself clear?" Andrews warned and walked away as his pager started to rang.

"Yes, sir..." Audrey swallowed. She knew that it wasn't going to work, they should've kept it more private...

"Hey, what did Andrews say? Does he know? I mean like... us?" Neil sat up as Audrey walked in. She locked the door and closed the curtain.

"This isn't going to work Neil." Audrey sighed. Neil felt her lips gently touch his. "We need to do something, we can't just... hide it."

"I know, we will work it out." Neil comforted, he held Audrey's hand and it felt cold like ice. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah what do you mean?" Audrey asked and started to walk to the door. "Get some rest, I have work to do and I'm not your doctor."

After the long day, Lim went back to Neil's apartment, she lay on the bed but it had never felt so empty, without him. She took a shower and went to bed. "Get some sleep, Audrey" She thought. But the night felt so long and lonely, she shouldn't have left him alone in the hospital either. Well, his coming back tomorrow. That made her feel better. Don't know how she would survive the late night...
