Letters to a stranger

14 1 1

Do you miss me?

4 minutes and 30 seconds.
Our love song, hidden in a playlist.
The one we danced to.
I still remember the crinkles in your smile when you sung it with me - off-key, just us two.

I fell.
But how much do words tell?

I still feel your lips on mine.
A thousand fireworks each time.

1 minute and 22 seconds.
The voice message where you told me you loved me with all your existence.
Loved.
Where did that go - past tense?

Every memory comes back
when I smell your fragrance
in the subway on a stranger.

32 pictures.
Of us, sharing our moments with each other.
Now spread on the internet for others to discover.

We had so much, we had everything.

Now I'm left as a shadow on the
wall behind you
while you're someone else's fling.

Tears - Two years.
I still miss you.

While your heart belongs to someone new,
I'm asking you;
Do you miss me?
