In another universe, I'm still here.
I am a teen and don't feel numb.
I didn't take the jump.
My skin is healed, my head is clear.
I am still here.
In another universe, I am proud of who I am.
In another universe,
It is 9 am.
Sunlight floods my home.
My lover
waits in the living room.
The air smells like oranges and cinnamon.
In another universe, I don't have bruises.
In another universe I'm healed.
There are no light excuses.
But in this universe, I am a survivor.
I have a story to tell.
