Chapter 13: The Temple of Moths

After traveling for a few hours, the group arrive at a shrine filled with moths and beautiful criters all around.

Sona: "This is.. quite the incredible view"

Biollante: "It is my mother's home and a safe place for all beings who cannot protect themselves"

Issei: "By those who cannot protect themselves, do you mean people like Y/n?"

The youngest of the Gojira family was being transported by a plant with vine legs as a layer of herbs helped healed his wounds.

Biollante: "Precisely. Here at the shrine, we are guarded by the 3 Heavenly Guardians. Lords Anguirus, Baragon and King Caeser"

Issei: "They sound awesome"

Biollante: "They ARE little human child"

She looked back at Issei slightly annoyed as they waited at the gates.

Rias: "May I ask, why are we waiting here?"

Biollante: "You must be given the authority to enter. From there, we pay our respects to the shrine before you get to see mother"

The moths began to fly down as they land on each individual's hand.

Bikou: "Hey there little one"

Biollante: "Do not harm them. They are very special to this shrine and to mother"

Rias: "How so?"

She held up her hand as one of the moths was on her finger.

Biollante: "They are pure souls which have taken the form of moths after devotion to her. Here, they spend there after life in her care enjoying fruitful days and everlasting paradise"

Vali: "Does it not snow here?"

Biollante: "It does, but mother is able to spread her wings and cover the children, giving them a warm place and shelter to avoid the cold"

Sona: "Fascinating"

Biollante sees the moths paving the way and nods.

Biollante: "We have been given the pass to enter. Come and stick close to me"

Kuroka: "Whatever you say"

The group walks up the stairs until they arrive at a small shrine with a large moth statue. The group takes turns bowing and paying their respects before heading in deeper into the peaceful territory.

Issei: "Sakura trees at the entrance, millions of moths and butterflies, large patches of grasslands, lakes and trees. This place is what I would envision as a piece of heaven if it was nature"

Biollante: "Mother built this place with a previous host of Biollante"

Kiba: "Was that not your name?"

Biollante: "We all shed our human names once we become one with the kaiju"

Rias: "Do you still remember it?"

Biollante: "No. I shed the name about.. 130 years ago, I think?"

Kuroka: "Do you not age?"

Biollante: "No. We remain the age we want"

Kuroka: "Isn't that great?"

Rias: "Other hosts you said. What happened to the previous one?"

Issei: "Do the kaiju just chose the next one?"

Biollante: "The previous host passed away in a battle. As for the choosing part, I don't really know. I was chosen without really knowing.. other than remembering that I was always fascinated by nature as a child"
