Mom: "Y/n!!"
I turn around and see my mother waving towards me.

Y/n: "Yes mother?"
Mom: "Come here. The food's ready"
Y/n: "Okay"
I put the paint brush down as I run up to her. I was painting the house since my dad was busy buying some paint from one of the nearby stores.
Y/n: "Is dad nearly here? We're kind of out of paint at the moment. We got maybe half a bucket and most the house is still unfinished"
Mom: "You know your dad, always unprepared"
I sit at the table when my father finally arrived.
Dad: "I'm late, sorry"
Mom: "Lunch is ready"
We all sit at the table as we eat.
Dad: "The meals great"
Mom: "Thank you"
Dad: "You're doing a hell of a job with the job boy"
Y/n: "I was always a pretty good artist"
We hear an explosion toward our west.
Y/n: "Are they still doing that?"
Mom: "Yea, we recieved some news about them saying that they will be continuing their experiments for another month. We shouldn't worry since the explosions are relatively far"
Dad: "They aren't close enough for us to worry about getting hit but we should hear them pretty loudly"
Y/n: "I'm worried though. One miscalculation from them and we could all be-"
Mom: "Don't think like that honey. We'll be fine. They are only using regular missiles. They are scary but again, we shouldn't worry about them... how about I make an apple pie?"
Dad: "That would sound amazing right about now"
Mom: "Well I'll get to it then. Honey, clean the dishes for me while I get the ingredients out"
Dad: "Gotcha. Hey kiddo, continue with the painting. I'll come by and help you out once I'm done"
Y/n: "Yea"
I get up and head towards the doorway. I look to see a cloud of smoke from where the explosion happened. I couldn't help but worry about the though of that happening. I know that they are experts in their field but experimenting with something as powerful as that. I couldn't help but worry still.
