Camila let out an irritated sigh as she entered her school's building, instantly dropping her head to avoid eye contact with her peers. She was sick of this; the same, boring routine that consisted of getting up, going to school, ignoring everyone except her best friend, going home, doing homework, and repeating. She was a senior so she only had a year left, but that year seemed like an eternity to Camila

When she reached her locker she fiddled with the lock for a few moments before the piece of junk finally swung open, allowing her to put some textbooks she wouldn't need until later onto the lower shelf.

She was tired, having been up fairly late talking to her cousin, Ally, who had moved to Los Angeles. Camila was envious of her cousin. She had made her name for herself in Hollywood as one of the most in-demand young choreographers, getting gigs with people like Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, and most recently the Lauren Jauregui.

Camila herself wasn't much of a fan of the green-eyed singer but that didn't mean everyone else felt the same way. It seemed like everywhere she went the singer followed her in some way. Whether it was a billboard with her face plastered on it or obnoxious teenage boys going on and on about how she's a "ten out of ten would bang", Lauren Jauregui was everywhere.

Ally was touring with Lauren as her head choreographer, which meant Camila rarely saw her, making both girls quite sad.

Ally's parents had died when Camila was about one and her parents took the young girl in, making them practically sisters. They had always been inseparable. Even when Ally entered her teenage years she still hung out with her younger cousin.

Camila let out a yawn, closing her lockers and slumping against it tiredly. She constantly had to remind herself that it was only three weeks until winter break, and three days until Ally came home.

Lauren Jauregui's most recent tour, which Ally joined her on, was ending which meant Ally was coming home for (hopefully) a four-month break. Ally already had a spot on Lauren's next tour, which meant she'd have to go back to LA after four months, so she shouldn't have to do anything in between.

Camila was torn from her thoughts of her cousin by a familiar laugh that instantly made her stand at attention. She turned her head and let out a dreamy sigh when her gaze fell on her crush who was on the other side of the hallway, laughing along to something her friend had said.

Her eyes scanned the laughing girl, drinking in her appearance. Somehow the blonde made the school's hideous uniforms work and Camila spent extra time appreciating her tanned legs.

"Really, Chancho? Rebecca again? You need to grow a pair and either talk to her or get over her, it's getting old," the familiar voice of her best friend, Dinah, said behind her, making her whip around.

"I can't just talk to her!" Camila hissed, as if what her best friend had said was the most insane thing imaginable. In her mind though, it was. To Camila talking to Rebecca Hemmings was practically impossible.

"Why not? It's easy, just walk up and say 'hi'. Simple," Dinah shrugged nonchalantly as she piled books into her locker, which happened to be beside Camila's.

"That's not how it works, Cheech. In case you're forgetting this is high school. She's the queen of the school and I'm, like, the peasant who tends the gardens."

Dinah rolled her eyes, "You don't give yourself enough credit, girl. You're adorable, smart, sweet, and hot! She'd be lucky to have you."

"Shut up," Camila blushed and shoved Dinah lightly, not believing a word she said.
