sorry for mistakes it's late and I'm tired and lazy af

It was Friday, the last day of school before winter break, and Camila stood in front of her open locker, staring at it blankly. It had been five days since her and her friends went to play laser tag and she couldn't stop thinking about what happened with Lauren.

She had wanted to kiss her, and she hated herself for thinking that way. She liked Rebecca, there was no use denying that. She really did. But being around Lauren made her feel a certain type of way. She couldn't describe it, her emotions just went haywire.

She convinced herself it was just because Lauren was her first kiss, and that's why it was constantly going through her mind and she felt guilty for lying to Rebecca, but deep down she knew it was because her lips had felt so good it was permanently engraved in her brain.

It was so deep down in her brain, that she didn't even acknowledge it, leaving her a confused mess.

"Damn it," Camila groaned and leaned forward, resting against Dinah's locker beside hers.

"Are you okay?" a concerned voice inquired and Camila raised her head briefly to see her girlfriend.

"Yeah," she mumbled. "I was just thinking about my final today." Lies. She was thinking about kissing Lauren.

"Don't worry, you're gonna crush it," Rebecca assured her, giving her a soft smile. "You've been studying with Lauren everyday this week, haven't you?"

"Um no, actually," Camila frowned. "I haven't seen her since laser tag."

That, unlike a lot of things Camila told Rebecca about Lauren, was true. The pop star had been hanging out with Ally all week, but of course she conveniently happened to leave right before Camila got home from school, saying she had plans with her high school friends.

It annoyed Camila, but at the same time it was a sort of relief, giving her a chance to figure things out without Lauren around, because her presence just turned her brain to mush.

"Oh, well you're still gonna do great. You've got this, Cami don't worry. You're smarter than, like, more than half our year without even trying. "

"Thank you," Camila smiled tiredly and pushed herself off of her locker to hug her girlfriend. "Can you come over later?" she asked, her voice muffled due to the fact her face was buried in the crook of Rebecca's neck. Rebecca hugged her back, thinking over the question for a few short seconds.

"Ummm," Rebecca hummed, sounding uneasy.

"My dad won't be home, don't worry," Camila giggled.

"Oh thank god, he scares the shit out of me," she sighed in relief.

The bell rang and the two girls walked to class together, still earning a few stares from their peers. Camila had gotten over it and learned to ignore them, although the fact that people who didn't know she existed a few weeks ago all were suddenly nervous around her and tried to be her friend weirded her out. High school is a weird place.

The rest of the day went by agonizingly slowly, with teachers giving out their last few finals or simply making them sit around and watch a boring documentary. At lunch period she only had Luke, Ashton, and Calum with her. While she usually enjoyed their company, Luke and Ashton were just making out while Calum was stressing out about the date he had planned for Dinah right after school.

It was cute seeing someone getting so worked up over her best friend but it was also pretty annoying when he was constantly asking her questions about what clothes to wear or what after shave to put on.
