Narrator POV
The bus started to stop, Izuku stirred from his nap, his eyes slowly adjusting to the dim light coming through the windows. The ruckus of his fellow students filled the air and the students started to leave the bus. With a yawn, Izuku got up from his seat and began gathering his things. As he stepped out of the bus Izuku remembered Uraraka's request to take pictures of the exhibit. Taking out his camera, Izuku began fiddling with its settings, making sure that everything was in order. A sudden jolt sent him stumbling forward. Izuku watched as his camera slipped out of his grasp and fell to the ground. Izuku tried to catch the camera but he wasn't fast enough. Izuku slowly saw the camera fall but then he felt something yank his neck. Confused, he looked down and saw his camera dangling from his neck, realizing that the camera was being held up by a strap that was around his neck. Bakugo and his friends started laughing. He felt his face grow hot with embarrassment as more and more people turned to look at him, their expressions a mix of confusion and amusement.
Izuku's POV
Geez! Kachan almost made me drop my camera. Why does he always have to be like that? What does he gain from bumping into me and making me drop my camera? Can't he just leave me alone for once? It's okay Izuku, just take some deep breaths, refocus, and stay calm. You just have to take some pictures and take some notes, in and out, simple as that.
Narrator POV
As he took pictures of the outside of the building, Izuku's mind started to wander, replaying all the times Bakugo had bullied him over anything and everything. It was hard not to feel a bit of resentment towards his childhood friend, but Izuku knew he had to let it go if he wanted to enjoy the exhibit. As the teacher instructed the class to enter the exhibition, Izuku took a deep breath and followed the rest of his classmates, his camera still slung around his neck. As Izuku wandered through the exhibit, his eyes shined with curiosity and wonder. Everywhere he looked, he saw something new and exciting, each display more fascinating than the last. But it was the engineering and chemistry exhibits that truly captured his attention.
Soon Izuku scribbled down notes as the scientist/tour guide delved into the complexities of quirks. As he absorbed every word, his excitement only grew. Suddenly, the door opened and in walked Dr. Connors, the renowned scientist, expert on quirk genetics, and biologist mainly specializing in herpetology.
All eyes in the room turned towards him. As he introduced himself he cracked a few jokes about his missing right arm, he casually walked over to a case and started explaining what he's been working on for the past 2 years.
"These 8 spiders you see here are not just any ordinary spiders, they hold the key to unlocking the true potential of quirks for future generations. We all know that animals, insects, and arachnids in this case are incredible creatures with abilities that seem super natural to us. Since the introduction of quirks we no longer see them as something incredible but as something normal but what about the less fortunates like the ones with a weak quirk, the people that are dying but our technology and quirks are not enough to save them, and what about the quirkless. I have found a way harness these traits for the greater good. Everyone deserves better and we can do this with these spiders. Does anyone know how?" Dr. Connors said with great passion but the question he asked was a rhetorical one not expecting a middle schooler to know the answer.
