Narrator POV

The next day at school, Izuku's heart pounded with anticipation as he walked down the hallway towards his classroom. He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself as he repeated some encouraging words, "You got this, you got this," over and over in his mind. He knew he had to talk with Kyoka again, but his nerves threatened to get the better of him. He doesn't even know why he's scared, they are officially friends so it shouldn't be awkward right?

As Izuku entered the classroom, his eyes immediately sought out Kyoka, who was sitting at her desk, engrossed in her music. He hesitated for a moment, his palms growing sweaty. Summoning all his courage, he walked over to his desk and turned himself to face her. His hand waved nervously as he called out, "H-Hi, Jiro."

Kyoka looked up from her phone, her face lighting up with a small smile. "Hey, Midoriya! What's up?" She greeted him warmly. Izuku shrugged, his nervousness making his words stumble.

"Ummmm, nothing much. How a-about you?" he managed to say, his voice slightly wavering. He mentally scolded himself for not sounding more confident.

"I'm doing pretty good," Kyoka replied, tucking her phone away. "Just listening to some music before class starts." seeming genuinely engaged in the conversation.

Curiosity sparked within Izuku, and he seized the opportunity to learn more about her. "What kind of music do you like?" he asked, being interested in her tastes.

A grin appeared on Kyoka's lips as she leaned back in her chair. "I like rock, metal, and any other genres similar to those," she answered, her enthusiasm evident. "I'm really into this band called Deep Dope, have you heard of them before?."

Izuku's eyes widened a bit, feeling a pang of embarrassment. "O-oh I ummm, I've never heard of them," he admitted sheepishly.

Kyoka's eyes widened in mock disbelief. "You suuuuuckkkkk," she teased, shaking her head playfully. She then took out her phone and showed him the screen, displaying the band's name and a song recommendation. "You should listen to this song. It's one of their best."

Izuku nodded eagerly. He reached for his own phone and quickly searched for the song Kyoka recommended. His fingers trembled slightly as he found it and he muttered, "I'll listen to it later."

Kyoka's smile widened, and then she gave him a serious look. "You better," she said with a playful tone.

As their conversation continued, Izuku and Kyoka found themselves sharing more about their lives, opening up to each other like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together. The topics shifted to their favorite foods.

Kyoka exclaimed, "I really fuck with fried chicken and pizza, they just hit different, you know?" Izuku chuckled, nodding in agreement."Oh, d-definitely! Katsudon is my weakness. It's just really r-really good."

Kyoka grinned. "We both picked savory foods," she said. "You know what? I think I prefer savory foods over sweets. They just have this satisfying and fulfilling quality that's hard to beat. Like, why would you pick an ice cream cone over a nice, cheesy slice of pizza?"." Izuku let out a small smile and said "Y-Yeah but ice cream is s-still good"

Kyoka waved her hands around saying "Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy a scoop of ice cream once in a while, but when it comes to choosing, savory foods are on top. No ice cream, chocolate, or candy can beat a nice burger." Izuku nodded his head but then had a surprisingly good question "What about savory sweets like apple pies?"

Kyoka looked at Izuku with a deadpan expression. She took a brief moment to collect her thoughts, her eyes fixed on him, before finally speaking up. "I guess so," she began, her voice laced with playful sarcasm, "but let's be real here—I still fuck with savory foods more."
