Chapter 10

Selene's POV:

I was awoken with a slight tap on my shoulder, as I hear many cheers and laughs around me.

"Is she awake yet Lilli? We need to all look like we are professionals. This pack of wolves are very high-classed." I looked over to my mother, while quickly wiping my eyes trying to get settled on the surroundings around us.

I looked out the window at the ground surrounded by were's and some vampires.

The werewolves must've already arrived, meaning this will be a great start of the night for my parents. 

For some reason they always believe we need to be somewhere before everyone else, so us being just a tad bit later then the other side of the alliance is kind of dramatic.

I looked back over to my parents through the mirror to see them both looking at me with disappointed looks.

Am I not allowed to sleep? Gosh.

"Next time wake her up earlier, got it girls?" The twins nodded in response, as then they put on serious faces.

when they do that, it usually means they won't act out. which means they won't be getting into trouble tonight. I'm going to guess by the look Roven is giving me though, that this will end with something going wrong.

*Tap* *Tap*

Huh?

I watched as the door swung open and Lorenzo pulled me out of the limo, swinging his arms around me into a bear-like hug.

"I missed you so much Sel!" He looks down at me and frowns, probably not amused by my face.

"Lorenzo. It's been 2 hours at most. get a grip!" I laughed and pushed him off.

Sometimes his emotions of family overrule his personality.

I watched as all the werewolves stopped their conversations and the vampires smiled as Uncle Liam walks up the steps of the palace-like building to reach the doors, he then turns around,

"Hello Vampires and Werewolves! As you can tell; My family has arrived first which means the hall is now open for everyone. Please pay your respects to the other family once they arrive. But for now , let us party!", As soon as it's spoken, Everyone starts to cheer and clap for his speech. 

"Please pay your attention to me and as well to my family." He smiles down at us, which causes everyone else to look at us. 

This attention starts to bubble uneasy feelings in my body.

But, All I do is continue to smile shyly as we make our ways up the steps to the palace.

Once we are settled the party starts. The music starts to play, and everyone gathers in the palace to start feasting and dancing around to the wonderful music. 

As I sit down, all I can feel is the uneasiness in my body growing. I could feel every nerve of my body ignition and my senses were turned on out of nowhere. I looked around all of a sudden feeling like I was out of control of my own body. I smelled the air as if I was looking for something, but couldn't find it.

Find Him..

We need him...

Love...

"Sel?" I blink out of it and notice JJ calling out my name. 

When I look over to him all I see is an emotionless face, with his eyes swimming with concern.

"You alright?" I nod, and look back over the crowd of smiling and dancing people.

I looked around the building we were in. Yes it was truly a beautiful place to hold this event. It had chandeliers that looked as if they were made of gold, with shimmering lights hanging from them, along with the polished marble floors that hold a simmer of light on them. Of course, on either side of the walls were the pack and coven's sign hanging to show dominance in our power, even though we are trying to get along. It held some kind of comfort within me though, looking at all of these happy couples.

Sighing, I imagine where I'd be if he was here with me.

Would we have a child by now, or even have two? I could never imagine that now that it's been so long. 

"Stop dazing off before we get weird looks Selene. We don't regret what happened last time." She smiled and lazily sat back down in her chair. 

I looked back at her and didn't notice any remorse.

Was I supposed too? Probably not, but it didn't stop me from hoping.

Mother is always like this.

Find him...

"Ok. Come on Selene, we are going to test those dance skills.", I look up to see Uncle Liam reaching his hand out to me with some type of look in his eyes.

"Alright uncle." I smile and grip onto his hand so he can lead us to the dance floor.

He puts my hand on his shoulder, as we start to sway to the middle of the floor, while other couples move closer to the sides of the ballroom, watching in awe. 

He continues to sway us back and forth through certain foot patterns that I've only learned a few times causing me to mess up. He'd let out a chuckle every time we did mess up the dance, while I just gave him a playful glare.

"Uncle why'd you ask to dance?", he Looks down at me for a brief second and twirls me away and then pulls us back to the swaying.

"You looked like you were about to faint, or attack someone dear.", He sighed and frowned. 

I did?

"But, it hadn't felt like that."

I looked down at my feet and frowned. Wouldn't I have known? It's weird how things happen sometimes.

"What's bothering you Sel? I understand the last time we were at a ball it didn't go as planned but remember that's not your fault." I look up at him as a tear rolls down his cheek. 

I smile sadly, " It's nothing bad actually. Of course I'm thinking of her but, this time it's different. it's like-"

"Hold on Sel, Go sit back into your chair. I believe they had just arrived. We will talk about this after the ball." He smiles, and guides us back to the chairs and lets me take a seat before he walks towards his throne.

I hear as the more pop-type music changes to instruments start to play as the doors are opened for what I can to look like a small group of people. 

"Welcome Bloodlust, Alpha August and Luna Serenity. We are happy to have you here with us tonight, and hope that you enjoy your evening here. Please you and your family join us up here." I here my Uncle's voice boom across the ballroom; completely silencing everyone.

"Yes, thank you Liam. Happy to see you once again, But please let the dancing go on. I could hear it from the road." He smiles, showing off his pearly white teeth.

"Of course, August." Once said, Everyone starts to dance to the higher-volume classical music.

mmmm....

Go seek him Selene....

My eyes go wide as I feel my body overflow with my senses as something takes over my body guiding us towards the dance floor. 

I can feel everyone else's happiness and watch as I fly by all of them and their mixed emotions about tonight. I can feel the power of the Alpha and Luna going past me, along with their children.

humph.

"What the Fu-", When I look up I already see the person staring at me, with those beautiful brown eyes.

I feel my heart flutter within my chest as I look at the person in front of me, as if my hearts about to explode into pieces. I feel warmth spread through my body at the parts where we bumped into eachother.

"Mate.."

Hopefully I didn't disappoint with this chapter!

It was stressful to write since it's been a while since I've written in Selene's pov, but hopefully it was still enjoyable!
