I open my eyes. I don't fell the raindrops on my weakened body anymore. I see the flames, the green flames rushing towards me, but they can't reach me. They're blocked by a dark purple dome, seemingly made of fog. I try to stand up, but the pain is unbearable. A gentle hand stretched towards me, covered in a black leather glove, helps me stand up slowly.
I see a pair of blue eyes looking at me. Just like the mysterious fog that came into my aid, they seem to discern nothing. He is wearing dark clothes. His hair is long, it reaches his chin; black as the feathers of a raven in the dead of the night. His face is calm, despite the deep scars running like rivers on a map across his face.
He says nothing. He looks at the shield around us, then at the bull trying to damage the shield, then at me. His right hand stretched towards the monsters is the thing that keeps the fog around us in one place. The fog tries to scatter.
"I can't hold it any longer."
His voice is husky and quiet.
"When the shield dissipates, you have to go for the kill." He speaks. "Smash the bull's head with your sword. I'll handle the rest."
I start to frantically search for Fritz's sword, only to realize that, in the ensuing rodeo between me and the monster, my friend's weapon flew from my hand as I was slammed against the tree. I look back into his blue eyes not knowing what to do. He smiles, but it's a smile that's weighed down by ache and pain.
"That's okay." He says gently. "Here, you can use mine."
He points with his gaze to the black sword hanging from his belt. With a quick move, he takes it out and hands it to me. He then looks at me and shakes his head slightly, as if he was asking me whether I am ready. I nod and the shield of fog that protected me scatters around us.
The Colchis Bull has already set his eyes on the mysterious boy and tries to harm him, but he proves to be too fast to hit. Meanwhile, I sneak up from the back and prepare to deal the final blow. I grip the sword tightly; I feel the smooth metal as if it's wrapping around my arm in a comfortable hug. I take a deep breath, lunge towards the creature with all my remaining strength and jump. As my sword swings down to hit the monster's head, I see the boy muttering something and a purple aura surrounding me. The elegant black blade becomes heavier and as it swings down with all its might; it decapitates the monster. The Colchis Bull collapses to the ground, the purple aura around me vanishes and the sword regains its former weight
I look at the fallen beast breathing heavily. My mysterious savior comes next to me. I hand him the black sword. He smiles, but his smile is weak, as is he were in pain and, as he hangs it to his belt, I feel a pain in my muscles as all my strength drops out. I fall on my knees, but he catches me before I hit the ground.
"You are hurt." He tells me. "You need to see a doctor."
I nod, or should I say, I try to nod, but my body lacks the strength. The spell put on me doesn't last long, so I pass out not long after he finishes his sentence.

I wake up in the infirmary; the smell of the white bed sheets so familiar to me calms me down. Around my bed are Noah, looking worried; June, who's yawning heavily, trying to remain awake; Aristoniki, my new friend, sitting with her legs crossed on a white wooden chair and Fritz, standing by my bed, looking really displeased. There seems to be a fifth silhouette in the far corner of the room I can't really make out.
"She's awake!"
Everyone turns towards my bed.
"Thank Apollo you're awake, Alison!" June says ecstatic. "We've been so worried."
