It's been three days since Ryujin and Yeji made out in Yeji's room. And it's been three days since Ryujin walked out of the room that time because she felt shame for putting Yeji under pressure to think they could be something more than friends, benefiting from the fake relationship they had.
Like Ryujin said, she did try to find a time to clear her mind. She needs to align things because being with Yeji all the time and doing things with Yeji make her wonder if they could be something more than just what they are.
Ryujin had been trying to give herself some time, which means she had been trying to clear off what she actually felt for Yeji.
Over time, she didn't realize that she was actually starting to develop feelings for Yeji, and she hates admitting it, even to herself, because before, she was way too confident to think she'd never find Yeji interesting and that she wasn't going to fall for the girl. But things are starting to fall in ways she didn't expect, because now she's sure she's starting to actually like the idea of dating Yeji-not only fake dating her, but actually dating her.
She wasn't intentionally trying to avoid Yeji, but because she's been trying to cool herself off, not being able to see Yeji most of the time after they kissed became part of the circumstances.
"This is terrible, I thought you said you wouldn't take advantage of her? I entrusted Yeji to you, Ryu." Chaeryeong said this sternly, crossing her arms across her chest.
"I wasn't taking advantage of her. Trust me, we both wanted it at the beginning." Ryujin angrily said. "I didn't push her. I know what I'm doing, Ryeong. But I never really thought I'd be feeling this way in the end."
"You were too confident back then, saying you'd never fall for her, now look at you..." Chaeryeong clicked her tongue.
"Foolish, right?" Ryujin chuckled.
"Now, what's going to happen? You're not even talking to her. Is this what you mean by telling me you like her?"
"I'm still trying to figure it out, Ryeong."
"Lia unnie said she's been so upset lately and we don't have any idea why. But when she mentioned that the two of you hadn't been able to communicate well these past few days, we'd already sensed the reason for her despair." Chaeryeong explained.
"Is she mad at me?"
"I don't think so. I think she's more upset that you guys are not talking. Ryujin, I'm telling you this to make you realize that maybe the feeling wasn't just on your end. I think, at some point, Yeji unnie felt the same way. You just need to talk to sort this out." Says the fox-faced girl.
"I don't know, Ryeong. I don't think there's a chance. I just don't want to push it through. I think it's better not to talk about this with her. The less she knows about how I feel, the better she and I will move on and forget about it." Ryujin said, uncertain.
"If you keep this distance between you two, nothing will happen. And I don't think you'll ever be able to move on if you haven't talked about your feelings with her. If she doesn't accept it, then that's totally okay. The sooner you get rejected, the sooner you can start moving on from your feelings." Chaeryeong added.
"Wow, that hurts." Ryujin rolled her eyes.
"No, seriously. And what if there's a chance? What if she'll have something to say on her side?" Chaeryeong said. "What I'm saying is that you just have to be honest with her so that you don't have to feel so uncertain with your feelings any longer."
Ryujin sighed, nodding slowly at Chaeryeong to let the girl know she understood what she was trying to tell her.
"You know what? I hate to admit it, but you have a point." Ryujin groaned, embarrassed to admit that Chaeryeong was making so much sense. "Fine. I'm going to find a chance to talk to her."
