Levi held his daughters hand as he walked home with her. Luna was only eight years old at the time, yet exceptionally smart for her age.

He swung their hands, talking to her about the different types of cookies.

"Well, I like the chocolate ones. Don't you?" He asked her, looking down at her briefly.

"Yeah. But the double chocolate ones are way better," she debated.

He looked across the road while crossing, catching sight of the two black cars speeding toward his home.

He crouched down to her height, making her pull a face at him.

"Go inside. Lock the doors. Don't come out. I have a key, I can get inside. Do not open that door Luna."

Luna, being Luna, of course listened, skipping over to the door at the same time a 16-year-old Jayson opened it.

"Hi baby, you okay?" He asked, lifting her up by her underarms and placing her on his hip, one hand free.

She nodded, playing with his fingers

Taking a concise glance over at his brother, he had to make a double take.

"James! Come here!" He shouted, turning to go back inside, still holding onto Luna.

Luna was oblivious to whatever was going on, of course, moreover interested in how fun it was to play with Jayson's rings.

They spun around and around and around. Her state was similar to that of a trance.

James stumbled down the stairs, clearly hearing the panic in his twin brother's voice.

"Outside. Go help Lev. I've got the kids." Jayson told him, starting up the stairs.

"Who is it?"

"It's Aiden. Aiden Clive."

His eyes grew wide, and he bolted outside after throwing his shoes on.

Jayson locked the door behind his twin.

"What's going on outside Jay-Jay?" Luna asked, still spinning his rings around his fingers.

"Nothing, baby. They're just talking to their friend really quick."

Humming in response, she dropped her head on her brother's shoulder.

"Where's Dre?"

"Upstairs, my love. He's asleep." She frowned, rubbing her eye with her fist.

He gently moved her hand away from her eye, walking upstairs. "Don't do that; you'll hurt your eye."

She stuck her tongue out at him.

As a form of retaliation, he stuck his tongue out at her, gasping and mocking shock.

Even though she gave him a dirty look, he couldn't resist chuckling.

"Come on, it's past your bed time."

"Want to sleep in your room."

He considered it for a few seconds, reaching the top of the stairs.

"Okay. But we have to be quiet though, okay? Your brothers are sleeping."

She nodded, mimicking zipping her lips.

In order to keep the two sleeping children in that exact state - asleep - he opened the door to his bedroom as gently as he could manage.

After putting her on the bed, he left temporarily to get her pyjamas.
