"... living his dream with no clue that he wasn't gonna be the center of attention for the rest of his life."

end of the first episode

EVERYONE started to pack their bags with the bell that meant the school had ended. Akito, who had placed his bag on his shoulder and was about to leave the class, felt someone touching on his arm. It was none other than Shirasagi Chisato.

"What's wrong Chirasagi?" He didn't even care enough to memorize her name. Akito might've been a friendly guy, but he was thoughtless at the same time.

"It's Shirasagi. There is something i need to tell you-" Shinonome knew what she was gonna say but still let her talk.

"I, like you." Akito smiled, but it was nothing like Akito's friendly smile. It was more of a cynical one, which annoyed even Toya from distance.

"Well, i don't." Chisato felt really annoyed with the boy's attitude, that even made her question why she fell for him in the first place.

"That's it? Someone thinks of nice things for you and finally haves the courage to confess, and this is how you react?" She immediately felt angry but sad.

"What do you want me to say?" He then acted like he didn't give a fuck about the whole situation. "Akiyama! Are you coming?" Mizuki wore the cardigan they put behind their chair and walked towards Akito after taking the bag they put on the desk. They they left the class together, leaving Chisato who felt really humiliated.

"That was so rude." Toya thought to himself.

"I really can't believe she confessed!" some girls laughed between each other.

"At least some of us are brave enough to do that!" Chisato's friend shouted to the girls. "Chisato..." then she wanted to comfort her friend.

"I don't want to see you Hina. At least for a while." Chisato then left the class with the tears she held back. She wasn't crying because she was rejected, she just never felt more little and humiliated in her whole life than she felt now.

"That's my chance right there." Toya placed his bag on his shoulder as well and followed the blondie with fast steps. He didn't wanna be noticed so he was really careful. Than he pretended to get in the same train as the girl.

"Don't feel sad because of that bastard." Chisato wiped away her tears as she looked at the tall guy who was trying to talk to her.

"How could you know? I bet no girl had rejected you. Besides, i wasn't even afraid of rejection, i just felt really humiliated." Toya understood why she was feeling that way, he just didn't know how to comfort her properly.

"I think if you guys had started dating, it would be much more horrifying. I have only known him for 4 hours and even i realized he is no good for anyone but himself." Chisato laughed by the boy's consolation.

"Maybe you are right. Now that i think about it, it really feels ridiculous." Toya was surprised by the girl's opinion that changed almost immediately. "Pardon me, i am Shirasagi Chisato by the way."

"Aoyagi Toya." They continued to talk for the next few stations. Toya thought about the fact that how lonely he felt during the lunch and now he had made a friend.
