Behind those walls stood houses that were still in completely perfect condition. It was like the apocalypse never hit. There were kids running around and people chatting like the world wasn't about to end. It was like we had all died and went to heaven. Carl takes me hand and we walk through the houses looking around at everything little thing and taking it all in. When a lady walks up too us. "Hello everyone and welcome to Alexandria, a place where you are safe, nothing gets through those walls. My name's Deanna and I'm the mayor of Alexandria." Deanna says looking around at all of us.
As soon as I saw Deanna all the happiness drained out of me. I got a bad feeling off of her and I knew I couldn't trust her. "I'm Rick, the leader of the group!" Rick says moving to the front to shake Deanna hand. "Nice to meet you Rick, now I'm gonna start off by saying as protocols everyone has to hand in their weapons! If everyone cooperates then we'll have no problems." Deanna says looking around at everyone. Dad comes up next to me and leans down to whisper something in my ear. "Don't give them your knife, hide it somewhere safe" he says patting my back. "Wasn't planning on it" I whisper back. "That's my girl" dad says standing back up.
Everyone hands in their weapons. Dad hands in his crossbow but hides his knife in his pocket, I say I got no weapons and dad backs me up. After they take everyone else's weapons and put them in a box, a man comes to get the box and takes it away. "Alright well let me show you around and to your new homes." Deanna says with a smirk on her face. Her face is a face I want to punch.
Deanna shows us around assigns the adults jobs, finally she gives everyone houses. Carl, Rick Judith, Michonne, carol, dad and I in one house, Glenn, Maggie, Tara, Abraham, Eugene and Rosita in the other.
Rick gets the keys to our house and when we get there it's huge, Carl and I stare at it in shock like we've never seen anything like this before. When we get inside it's even better, Carl and I race up the stairs. There's only 2 bedrooms so Carl and I decided to share. "Wanna go explore?" I ask Carl. "Hell yea!" He replies.
We go back downstairs and see Rick still looking around. "Dad we're gonna go look around ok" Carl says to Rick. "Ok be careful" Rick replies. "We will" Carl yells as we walk out the door and before we know it Carl and I are running around Alexandria exploring this new discovery.
