Day 4

Gina nearly fainted on the spot, and would have had Locus not jumped up and steadied her. Instead she merely felt as if she would faint, then wobbled on her feet for some time before regaining her composure and running every possibility she could think of through her head. What if— maybe he— I think— no, it can't be true— well, it could— no— but why? How? what— what am I missing— Locus clutched his head and shook it vigorously as if to drag Gina's rapid-fire thoughts out of his head.

"Stop it, stop it! Dude— you're giving me a headache! I get that you're confused but would you just calm down already?" She took a deep breath and tried to do what he said but it was... hard, to say the least.

"What's going on? What do you mean, tweaked genomes?" A look of confusion spread across Archalus's face.

"How do you not know? Saroa was supposed to tell you." Gina just became more and more confused.

"Who the hell is Saroa?" She yelled, beginning to feel dizzy. She stumbled backwards, and this time, Locus wasn't fast enough to catch her as she tumbled over her chair and everything went black.
