Clarke entered her room, to collect her own stuff. Octavia was waiting for her at the stable, with the rest of the luggage. She sighed. She didn't want to live, not after what she and Lexa had just shared. She had never felt such things for anyone. She had never felt so loved by anyone. She had never loved in such a way anyone. She shook her head and raised her gaze. She froze. Keira was tied at a chair, all battered and bruised. She had a shiner and her lip was busted. Clarke didn't think twice and, ran to her, she untied her and carefully laid her on the floor.
"Keira!". The girl hardly opened her eyes and muttered something incomprehensible, probably in Trigedasleng.
"She's fine.". Clarke jolted. She turned. Titus was in front of her, a devilish grin on his face.
"What did you do to her?" Clarke asked him, while checking on the girl. She heard a sudden click and looked at the man. He had a gun in his hand, pointing at her. She raised her hands and stood up, slowly.
"Titus, what is this about?" she asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this, Clarke. Truly I am." he told her, moving towards her.
"Look, I'm leaving right now. Octavia's waiting for me at the stable. Just let me help Keira and I'll go, I swear."
"Wish I could." Titus replied. "Lexa will never execute her duty while you're alive.". He raised the gun, ready to pull the trigger. Clarke was panicking, scared for Keira's fate. Also, she didn't want to die, not like that.
"Titus, think. She's gonna know it was you."
"She'll think it was her." he explained, glancing at the girl on the floor. "This is the weapon she had the day I caught her."
"Keira would never harm me and Lexa knows it."
"Lexa will know what I'll tell her." Titus said. "And I will tell her about how I found her shooting at you to have Madi back. I had no choice, can you understand me?"
"You're crazy." Clarke hissed. Titus glared at her and pulled the trigger. The Skaikru jumped on the floor and managed to dodge the bullet. Her heart was racing in her chest, madly.
"Titus, enough! You don't really want this!". She started running, while the man kept shooting at her.
"It's not about what I want! It's about what's best for my people!" Titus yelled. None of them realized the door was open. And then the irreparable happened.
They were outside Clarke's room, waiting for some news. The blonde was between Octavia's arms, sobbing uncontrollably. It was all her fault, only her fault. She did nothing but turn everything into death. All those soldiers, then the Maunon and now.... No, she couldn't even believe it. That couldn't be real. Maybe it was just a nightmare and all she had to do was wake up. She wished it had been so. Suddenly, the door open. Her mother showed up, her hands covered in black blood. Octavia had managed to help her running away from Arkadia and bring her to Polis, to help them with the surgery. Pike had imprisoned everyone who didn't agree with him indeed, including Abby, Marcus and Lincoln. Octavia had tried to convince the two men to come with them, but they had decided to stay there, to serve as examples against that despotic government now leading Camp Jaha.
"Mom..." Clarke muttered, bowing her head. She couldn't hold it anymore. She vomited, utterly overwhelmed by that situation. She should have been there, not her. Not her. Abby immediately rushed to her, to rescue her.
