Lexa couldn't believe she had given in and followed Clarke to Camp Jaha. Abby and Marcus had in fact invited them to celebrate the end of the war between Skaikru and Grounders and the defeat of Pike and, even if reluctantly, the Heda had been forced to accept. Clarke was so excited and Lexa didn't want to deceive her. Moreover, it would have been a chance for Madi and Keira to learn about Skaikru's culture and meet Clarke's friends.
"Are you sure your people will be happy to see us?" Lexa asked her girlfriend, still unsure about their idea. Clarke smiled at her, softly. She turned to check on Keira and Madi, then glanced at Lexa again.
"What if they still hate me for what I did at Mount Weather? What if they can't accept you being with me and raising two Grounder kids? Oh, and we still need to talk to Keira about..."
"Everything will be alright, Lex." Clarke reassured her. "Moreover, we've arrived now.". The Grounder felt the panic rise in her chest. She wasn't ready to meet the same people who wanted to kill her just few weeks before.
"Clarke! Lexa! Welcome to Camp Jaha!" Abby welcomed them, a huge smile painted on her face. Clarke jumped off her horse and ran to her mother, hugging her tight.
"I missed you so much, mom." she whispered.
"I missed you too." the older woman replied, kissing her daughter's cheek. Lexa chuckled at that sight, happy to see Clarke finally reunited with her mother. She got off her horse and helped Keira and Madi do the same, then joined the two Skaikru.
"Lexa, is a pleasure to see you. And look at Madi, you are growing up so fast!". The toddler shyly hid behind her sister, who held her close to her, stroking her hair.
"And Keira, I'm happy you're doing well after all you went through." Abby told her, clearly referring to everything she had experienced, especially because of Titus. When he had caught her in the Tower, he had let the guards brutally beat her, causing her ribs to break. Her conditions had worsened when he had used her against Clarke, the same day he had accidentally shot Madi. The Skaikru had found her all battered and bruised and if not for Abby, she probably wouldn't have made it.
"Please, follow me. You should be worn out by the journey, I'm gonna show you where you'll stay.". Lexa could sense all the Skaikru's gaze on her and she was starting to feel so uncomfortable. Clarke seemed to notice that and tenderly squeezed her arm, to help her calm down.
"So, this is your place." Abby said, once they arrived in a small apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom and a nice living room. "Mine is in front of your door. If you need anything, don't hesitate to knock."
"Thank you, mom." Clarke thanked her.
"You're welcome. I'm happy to have you here, girls."
"And we're happy to be here, Abby." Lexa replied. The Skaikru was about to say something, when a sudden noise caused all the women to turn towards the bathroom. Madi had turned on the shower and was now under the water, clapping her hands and squealing joyfully.
"Nomon, wodafall.".
"Madi, no!" Lexa and Clarke shouted, rushing to the child. They immediately turned off the water, then picked Madi up and wrapped her in a towel to dry her off.
"Well, at least she is curious about the world that surrounds her." Abby said to a petrified Keira. And the girl could do nothing but nod in silence.

"How was the food?" Marcus asked, a bit nervous. Lately he had developed a passion for cooking and so he had insisted to cook the lunch all by himself.
