As the castle came into view, I rushed over to the wooden hatch to the dungeon and peeled it open, gesturing for Yunho to jump in. He jumped through the hatch and held it open for me to jump down, too. "We're a lot later than we were meant to be." Yunho reminded me as we snuck through the dungeon and to the top of the staircase where a guard was passing. Yunho opened the door ever so slightly to peak through and once the coast was clear, we snuck through the halls and to our own rooms where we'd pray at snack time, no one saw us.

Or pray we didn't go missing during the night.

Later, at snack time. I found myself staring at the cup in front of me, filled with blood. I looked over it and when the dim lights hit it right; there it was. My reflection fully in view. I found myself staring into the cup, looking at myself and thinking about the events from earlier.

"San." I jumped at Seonghwa calling my name- still on edge. "Yes my lord?" I replied, ripping my attention from the cup and turning to face him from my table and glanced at Yunho who froze in place. "Did you rest well last night?" He calmly questioned while patting the blood away from his mouth, not even turning to look at me.

He never asks that.

"Yes, my lord." I lied as the room went silent and my hands began to shake. "I'd hope the same for you, too." I quickly uttered out, hoping to end the conversation. Seonghwa didn't respond straight away. I could never tell what he was thinking and it scared me.

"Lovely." Was all he said before standing up and walking out the room. I gulped, watching his figure leave and glancing back at Yunho who also shared my terrified expression.

Since Seonghwa had left the room, that meant the rest of us were free to leave whenever so I immediately took my leave, sending a code glance to Yunho to come to my room when he could.
I rushed out of the room and to my own, planting myself on the satin bed and trying to calm myself.

Maybe I was reading too much into it?
Maybe he was genuinely concerned?
Did I look like I was in need of rest?
Maybe I'm not dead?

"You're so dead." Yunho blatantly stated as he barged into my room, locking the door and sealing the gaps with whatever he could find to sound proof it. "Oh yeah thanks for the confidence boost." I groaned as I stood up, facing him. "What the hell was that?!" I whisper shouted as Yunho tried to think. "But he only called you out. Not me. We went together." He tried to calm me down. "Maybe he saw you do something else?" Yunho suggested as I immediately thought to when I was in my room alone, testing how sunshine would affect my flesh. "There's no way he saw that." I mumbled. "I-I don't know. We're both usually invisible to him." I face palmed, trying to think of anything and everything I had done. I didn't want to disappear.

I didn't want to end up like my uncle.

"It's fine. We'll solve this. Maybe you just caught his eye. We could just be reading too much into this." Yunho pulled me into a hug. "We'll figure this out, I promise." He told me as I sunk into his cold embrace, thinking about The Spirit Forest and Wooyoung's soft smile.

"Hongjoooooong" I dragged out as the man finally turned around to look at me. "You're not getting thirds. Stop begging." He groaned and I pretended to cry. "You're so mean to me." "Oh my god, Woo. Sometimes I just want to claw your voice box out." Hongjoong sighed, gesturing a claw toward my throat. I stood back in a dramatic pose that screamed 'how could you?' And to my surprise, he laughed. "Wow. THE Hongjoong. Alpha of the Lupus pack- smiled?!" I gasped, rubbing my eyes. "I can't deal with you sometimes." He chuckled as he fluffed up my hair and started walking away. "If there's leftovers from lunch then fine. Go take thirds." He called out, waving as he disappeared down the staircase. I silently cheered at my victory, rushing to the kitchen and to make matters even better, there were leftovers.

I took whatever looked appealing and started munching at the kitchen table. I was enjoying the quietness as I engulfed myself into the third lunch meal of the day when I heard a sigh behind me. "I knew you'd be here." Yeosang called out from behind. I turned to chuckle at him and offered him some chicken. He gladly took it. "Want to go on a run later? Get rid of some of those extra meals?" He chuckled, poking my belly. "I don't even put on weight." I growled back and he raised a brow. "High metabolism, you wouldn't understand." I sighed dramatically as he scoffed. "Whatever." He groaned as he took more chicken and we continued to talk about the little things, making it a pleasant afternoon to steal the rest of the food in the kitchen.

"What did you think of the two vampires we met in the forest?" Yeosang questioned me randomly, I thought more a moment before nodding. "They seem really nice. I wonder if all vamps are like that." I smiled and Yeosang stopped. "Vamps?" "Yeah. Vamps. Sounds cool." I shrugged and he shook his head. "It does not. Don't say that." He glared. "What?! It does!" "You sound like Hongjoong when he tries to act all hip and cool. Stop it." He rolled his eyes and I was absolutely offended.

"Whatever. I hope we see those two again." I sighed, thinking about one in particular as I shoved another piece of chicken into my mouth.
