=Wooyoung's POV=
I had San's arm wrapped around my neck on one side and Yeosang doing the same on his other to keep his unconscious body up. We were rushing back to Lupus. "What the hell do we do with an unconscious vampire?!" Yeosang panicked as I thought it through. "We have that basement we used to use back in the war days! Hongjoong told me about it. We can hide him down there." I explained as we struggled to keep him up.
Throughout the whole journey, I couldn't help but notice Yeosang consistently turn his head back, as if looking for someone else. Looking for Yunho.
When we reached Lupus, I disappeared to the barn where the entrance to the basement was with San and had asked Yeosang to stay at the barn entrance to keep watch. I struggled to bring him downstairs but eventually did so and found a dim light that still worked to light up the pitch black and cold area.
Just as I put San down, his eyes slowly fluttered open and I knelt next to him. "San? Are you alright?! What happened?" I whispered to him, cupping his cheek with one of my hands. He leaned into my touch and coughed slightly, still holding onto his stomach. "They took Yunho." Was all he said. "Who?" I asked and he looked up at me before trying to figure out where he was. "You're at Lupus right now San. Who took Yunho?" I asked and he whispered back that their vampire lord had him. I sighed, that wasn't what I wanted to hear.
"I have to go, I need to tell someone what happened." I placed him so that he was perked up against the wall but before I could stand up, he caught my arm, bringing me back to his level. We stared at each other for a second before San cupped my cheek and leaned over to me, pecking my lips softly and quickly.
"Please don't leave me." He whispered desperately as he used my shoulder as a pillow. I froze, taken aback a little by the kiss and his desperation but I embraced him, knowing he was scared. I put my arms around him while his head remained on my shoulder and I brought my right hand up to caress his head softly. "I'm not going to leave you, San. I just need to let the Alpha know what's happening." I reassured him. After a minute, he nodded, reluctantly pulling himself away from me and leaning back against the wall.
His eyes shut again as his hand remained on his stomach to comfort the injury. I stood up, looking at his poor being and sighing.
I ran upstairs to Yeosang who looked even more worried than I was. "How is he? Did he wake up? Did he tell you were Yunho was?" Yeosang pleaded for answers. "Yunho was captured while they escaped by the sounds of it. San didn't say he was dead." I tried to reassure Yeosang but that freaked him out even more. "Look, before anything, Hongjoong needs to know what's going on." I told him as we both ran toward the house.
We found Hongjoong in the kitchen, doing the dishes and talking to some of the younger wolves. "Hongjoong.. C-Could we talk to you, please? In private?" I asked, suddenly nervous. He looked around, confused before nodding and joining us into his office.
"What's wrong?" He questioned as I took a deep breath.
How did I explain that we both went against his wishes by going to the spirit forest and then made friends with vampires and not only that but fell in love with them.
Hongjoong wasn't heartless by any means. He loved and cared for every individual wolf in the pack and tried to understand their points of view but this was still a very unusual and insane topic.
"I have someone that you need to meet." I decided to try and continue with the original plan. Maybe San would be awake by the time I got Hongjoong to the basement. He raised a brow, looking between us. "Okay?" He replied with a confused chuckle. "You're not going to like him at first but we want you- no. We NEED you to listen." Yeosang added as we opened the office door, begging him to follow.
Once we got back to the barn, I started going down the stairs first, "Please Hongjoong. We need you to listen." I repeated as he came down the stairs and caught sight of the injured vampire.
Panic, anger and confusion all took over his facial expressions as he looked on. "What the hell is this?!" He snapped and I held my hands up. "Please." Was all I said as he sighed. "Fine. Continue." He groaned as I walked over to San. He was awake now but still coughing and in pain. "Are you alright to speak?" I asked as I caressed his arm, he nodded, trying to sit up more as I helped him.
He looked at Hongjoong and tried to bow slightly. "A pleasure to meet you, Alpha." He coughed as Hongjoong remained standing with his arms folded and a blank expression upon his face.
San proceeded to tell him everything about the feast and that the missing wolves were killed by the vampires. He explained that he and his friend had tried to escape to tell us but only he managed to get out.
Hongjoong raised a brow, finally showing some sort of emotion. "So.. you nearly got yourself killed just to come here and help us?" He asked. "I was doing what was right." San muttered in response, shifting his position to try and find a less painful way to sit.
Hongjoong fell silent for a few minutes, staring at San and thinking. My heart raced, hoping he wasn't about to kill him. "Fine. I'll send Mingi down here with some medical supplies." He sighed, clearly a little touched by what the vampire had done. I let out the breath that I hadn't realised I'd been holding and smiled at my leader. "Thank you." I told him. "No. You're coming with me and explaining to the tiniest detail what the hell is going on here." He said while grabbing my arm, tearing me from San. "Yeosang stay here." Hongjoong commanded as he dragged me away.
This was going to be fun.
