"Come here" Tom motions his hand. He had just bought a new Piano for our house. He knew I'd been  playing for a long time. Tom taught himself how to play the piano and I always admired how he managed to do it all by himself. While I took lessons growing up.

Tom being Tom he wanted a big black grand piano. He was seated at the piano with his right foot rested on the pedal of the piano. We had moved our piano in front of a big window that had a perfect view to not only the piano but our living room.

I make my way towards him sitting next to him adjusting my posture.

"I composed a piece for you" He says placing his left hand in my thigh.

"Really?" I ask looking up at him as he was already staring at me. He nods his head before placing both of his hands on the keys.

Not long after his fingers start to move in sync and a beautiful piece begins playing. I watched as his right hand moved up the piano playing higher and softer notes. Everything just seemed to fall in place. The piece was soft and gentle almost as if it was expressing the feeling of being in love. His body starts to sway back and forth he was feeling it.
His fingers start to slow down loudly as the melody begins to quiet down.

"Its beautiful Tom" I praise him giving him a smile. This was the first time anyone had composed a piece for me. I clap my hands quietly as if I was a fan of Tom.

"Now can we play our favorite duet?" I ask placing a kiss on his cheek.
"Always" Tom says as he positions his hands on the keys and turning his gaze back in the piano in front of his.

He starts the piece going at a constant pace before speeding it up. Not long after I join in on his playing. Together everything sounded amazing. I played more on the lower keys while he played mainly on the high keys. From time to time Tom would let out a few chuckles as I smiled wondering what he was laughing about.
The sun began to set small beams of orange lights shined through the window.
Words could not express the feeling I felt every-time I played the piano with Tom. It always felt special to me. Often times we would play for hours and time seemed to fly by quickly.
