"Come on in y/n" I hear him say from inside his office. I was at an interview hoping to get the position of being a therapist for the people stuck in the Danesburg Institute. The main reason I wanted this job was to speak with Abraxas.
Where did things go wrong?
We grew up as childhood friends that was until 7th year when he became a stranger to me. I was already attending a different school from him and our families fell into a feud. I tried reaching out to him but all my letters were easily sent back.
"I see you have experience with being a therapist," The man in front of me says. He's quite chubby and has on a dark gray suit. In front of him lies my resume.
"Yes I am, I've spent two years with Mr.Lock which I'm sure you know of" I replied smiling at him hoping to give off an innocent vibe.
"I see," The man says as he begins to flip through the papers in front of him. Mr.Lock was a very respected man and I used it to my advantage. I knew the owner of Danseburg constantly kissed Lock's ass because he was their main sponsor without his money they wouldn't even be here."Are you sure you want to work here? The people here are far less different than those you've worked with" The man says looking up at me and questioning me. I was well aware of what I was getting myself into. I had read the papers before on how the patients had driven almost every therapist out of there. The last one had committed murder and was sent to Azkaban. This helped my chances with Abraxas considering Danesburg was desperate to hire a therapist. New laws claimed it was required because it would help their patients reconnect with the world. Bullshit.
"Well, your resume is quite impressive. When is the latest you can start?" The man asks I am finally able to see his name tag. His name is Mr.Chase.
"Right now" I respond and he nods.
"Come back tomorrow at 4 am sharp," He says before dismissing me off.
"Thank you, Mr.Chase," I tell him saying my goodbyes and walking out of his office. That has to have been the easiest interview I've gone through.I noticed the guards that once surrounded his office were gone. Probably on their break. I decide to stroll down a different hallway hoping to catch a glance of Abraxas.
Walking down the hallway I see many closed doors. As I take further steps down the corridor a hand strictly grips onto my shoulder turning me around harshly. It's a security guard.
"You shouldn't be on this side ma'am," The guard says before grabbing my arm and turning me around.
"I'm sorry sir, I've just had an interview and the building was quite confusing," I tell him innocently. The guard just nods before walking me back. Turning to my right I make eye contact with a patient who is looking right at me. I could easily tell he wasn't in his room due to the glass separating us being so huge. The other rooms held a small glass window in its door which allowed guards to easily look in. He looked more as if he was being placed in a time-out. But he was very handsome. We held eye contact for what felt like the longest time before my attention was placed back on the security guard who was asking if I was alright. Is it bad I couldn't get that man out of my head? Why is it always the bad ones who look the best? Even walking out of the building I couldn't get him to escape my mind. But I wondered what he did to get himself sent to Danesburg. He was just too handsome to be placed in there.
Once I stepped into my home I spotted a letter on my kitchen counter from my parents. I don't bother opening it already have an idea it's about Abraxas.
