Short chapter sorry 🙏

After On-jo and I finish saying bye to her dad, we start to head back to class. Mrs. Park stops us before we can go back inside.

She looks at us, "Thanks you for your help, guys. I'm gonna head back in a few minutes." She sighs, "Please make sure you don't tell anyone about this just yet, okay?" We nod and hum in response.

She tells the nurse the same thing then pulls as along with her. "Okay. Go back to class, let's go," she instructs, shooing us away.

All of us walk up the stairs with the exception of the nurse and Mrs. Park. On-jo was walking in the middle of me and Su-hyeok.

"Are you okay? Did she bite you?" Su-hyeok asks On-jo. Deja-vu anyone?

"Oh! Did she? We can have matching b-"

She interrupts me, "No, it's just a scratch."

"Sure you all good?" He asks again.

She nods in response, clearly flustered. Awwwww! I think On-jo has a crush! She's getting so grown-up.

Just wait until I tell I-sak!

When we stop on one of the stairs floor thingies, Su-hyeok speaks, "Hey. You wanted to meet on the roof?"

I smirk at On-jo, "Oh, I get it. Dont worry, I'll leave."

"N/n, remember, you can't say anything about what happened," Su-hyeok calls out before I leave. I give him a thumbs up and walk away.

As I walk Cheong-san quickly runs past me. That kid. He's so weird.

I mean, so am I. I'm not saying I'm not but-

On-jo speed walks into the class and bumps my shoulder that i dislocated when I was two. Oh shit, someone's mad. I turn back to go ask Su-hyeok why she's mad.

"-end of the world and it was her, me, and a zombie I'd honestly rather date the zombie." I hear Cheong-san say.

I chuckle, "I think you should re-think that, buddy. I would date On-jo if I had the chance to."

Cheong-san scoffs, "You would date anyone you had the chance to date."

"..." I bite my finger dreamily, "Yes. Yes I would." I pat his back, changing the topic. "Why's On-jo mad this time? What'd you do?"

He shrugs, "Nothing."

"Mm, okay." I decide to let it go. "What do you guys think they're serving for lunch today?"

"I really want tonkatsu." Su-hyeok mutters.

I stand in the cafeteria with my plate still in my hands. I don't know where to sit. Both On-jo and Gyeong-su want me to sit with them. Gwi-nam isn't even an option at the moment, and I'm pretty sure the roof is locked.

Actually, I wanna ask how On-jo's talk with Su-hyeok went. I sit down next to her.

I look at her, but she's focused on something else. "Oh, she's just staring. That's normal. Yep."

I-sak giggles and taps her chopsticks in On-jo's face. "Hey, Cheong-san can feel that."

She focuses back on us, "I wasn't looking at him."

I-sak scoffs, "Yeah, right. The whole school knows you two are going out on dates."

"We're not dating."

Me and I-sak give eachother the look. On-jo notices and whines, "I'm serious."

I hum, "Sure. Yeah." I eat some of my food. I'm actually starving to death right now.

"Actually," On-jo hesitates. "You can't tell anyone, okay?"

Oh, gossip! I drop my chopsticks and look at her.

"About what?" I-sak replies.

"Well... Forget it."

I shove her shoudler, "Really? You hate when I say that to you. Tell me."

"No."

I-sak whines, "Tell me."

"Stop it. No."

I-sak examines her face. "You slept with Cheong-san, didn't you?" She smirks, "You did. I got it, am I right?"

My eyes widen, "Huh? Ewww, gross."

"Are you insane?" She retaliates. "I told Su-hyeok I liked him."

I smile, "Oh yeah, I forgot. I was going to tell you about it."

I-sak looks at us, "What?"

"She told Su-hyeok she likes him," I repeat.

"You mean?" She stands up, flabbergasted. "WHAT?" She yells, gaining some students attentions.

On-jo pulls her back down, "Quiet."

"Oh my god. I can't believe it." She slaps On-jo's arm, "Are you completely insane? Him? Su-hyeok?"

"Quiet." She looks at him and so do I.

"How'd you do it? What did you say?"

I wiggle in my seat, "Did you ask him on a date or what?"

"My name tag."

I cover my mouth, smiling even wider now. "You practically threw yourself at him."

I-sak gasps, "So?" She urges.

"Well, that's all," On-jo says glumly.

I frown, "He rejected you?"

She plays with her food, "He didn't say anything."

I-sak furrows her eye brows, "Not even a vibe?"

"Mhm."

"You couldn't tell how he felt or anything?"

On-jo sighs, "I'm going crazy."

"Is that why you were so mad earlier?" I ask.

"No. Cheong-san interrupted us. That's why I'm going crazy."

I pick up my chopsticks again, masking my newfound nausea with a shrug. "Who can blame you? We should jump him after scho-"

"HUH-"

Once they finished with their lunches they stood up to throw the rest away. My head was resting on the table for most of lunch though. My head is killing and my ears won't stop ringing.

Maybe I got sick? I should have listened to Gyeong-su when he told me to wear a jacket yesterday.

It kind of feels like that one time I was drowning, but instead of water replace if with fire. Then freezing cold water. Then fire again. Then it is freezing again.

"Why does it feel hot and cold at the same time?" I whine.

Fuck my life.

My head shoots up when I suddenly hear screaming. I look around but there's nothing. Literally. Everything is black.

What?

Oh, nevermind. My eyes were just closed.

I open them and my body tenses when I see several people fall through the cafeterias open doors. That's what the screaming was?

Then, some people get locked out. They start banging their hand urgently on the glass. Why are they in such a hurry to get in? The food isn't even that good.

It cracks.

Shit.
