During 300 years of exile, Eldarion travelled through the seven kingdoms and ventured beyond the world of the minimoys to find the survivors of his lost people. As his journey continued, he witnessed many atrocities committed by the servants of Maltazard, officially nicknamed M the Evil . While this heretic had appointed Necropolis and the seventh kingdom as the seat of his power, the number of his victories and conquests increased drastically, and his raids grew ever more daring and cruel.

When Eldarion went to the Sixth Kingdom, he realized the massacre perpetrated there. Every people who had been on the path of M the Evil or in his field of vision were ruthlessly slaughtered, and all those who survived long enough to witness the passage of his armies were enslaved and forcibly taken to Necropolis, where their lives often ended in violence. The luckiest among them are often the warriors of those peoples who survived only to surrender their weapons and integrate the armies of M the Evil , contributing now to the looting and massacres they had once tried to eradicate.

The second and third kingdoms soon fell after the sixth. Despite their bravery and the support of the first kingdom, the various peoples of the third were violently exterminated, and those of the second were soon to suffer the same fate following the drastic fall of their military power caused by the massacre of reinforcements sent to the third kingdom.

Very quickly, the Kolomassai of the Fifth Kingdom also surrendered to the Darkos, the new commander of M. However, the Kolomassai were luckier than the other defeated peoples and were spared by M the Evil himself, considering the Kolomassai not to be a real threat.

After seeing for himself all these carnages, Eldarion soon realized that of the seven kingdoms, only the first kingdom was still able to oppose the power of M the Evil. Although weakened by frequent attacks, the Minimoy village of King Sifrat de Matradoy managed to hold on, thanks in particular to the prowess that a human named Archibald had taught them. Unfortunately Eldarion had just learned that Archibald had disappeared into the seventh kingdom and never reappeared thereafter.
