Eldarion knew that if M the Evil had survived the destruction of Necropolis, he would still pose a great threat to the seven kingdoms that have freed themselves from his hold. On the other hand, if Maltazard was still wandering within the seven kingdoms, he could not hide anywhere, especially when Eldarion learned that the unicorns had seized the seventh kingdom in the name of a new despot named Krob. Thus Eldarion had to resolve to put aside his personal quest to go in search of M the Evil.

As Arthur was about to return to the seven kingdoms, Eldarion continued his search for Maltazard. In the middle of the night, while the tenth moon was shining in the night sky, Eldarion surprised a young red haired woman beautifully dressed in pink. This young woman seemed not to have noticed that Eldarion was watching her, and was busy expressing her sorrow over the fact that her beloved husband had not come to join her.

In front of this scene, Eldarion seemed to hesitate: on the one hand, he would have liked to be able to comfort this girl, because he himself was experiencing the same kind of grief, the disappearance of his people and Kirliata, his beloved wife, made him suffer enormously too. On the other hand, Eldarion had a mission: to find the one who sowed terror in the seven kingdoms for too long, and he could not afford any delay.

It was then that a little Mul-Mul came to decide the question. Being venerated as sacred animals by the Nyrilorns, this Mul-Mul gently let itself be caught and was caressed by Eldarion who whispered something to it: He asked the Mul-Mul to go and comfort this sad girl and tell her to go back home because her loved ones could already start worrying about her. After that, Eldarion went back and continued his research.

The next day, around noon, Eldarion felt a restlessness around him. Suddenly, a pack of spiders rushed towards him. Eldarion just had time to summon his magic wings and take flight. However, the spiders did not seem to want to attack him, but rather seemed to be fleeing. Stunned, Eldarion flew higher and higher, and rose above the grass. There, he was surprised to see that the entire vegetation seemed to be in panic. Seeking to understand what was going on, Eldarion asked the Goddess of the forest what might have happened for such chaos to have taken place.

Suddenly, as if to answer him, a horrible laugh sounded around the forest. Recognising this laughing voice, Eldarion understood: M the Evil had managed to climb into the human world and seemed delighted at the idea of being able to invade this new world. Yelling with frustration, Eldarion began to fly towards the forest, determined to catch M the Evil and searching a way to defeat him once more.
