The next day, The Sultan was happy beyond measure when he saw it, but he still did not have his fill of gold.

He gave Lara a final test and she was taken to an ever larger room filled with straw. The room was larger than the previous rooms combine.

"Tonight you must spin this too. If you succeed you shall become my wife." said the Sultan and he locked the door.

His reason for this was simple, "Even if she is only a miller's daughter, I will not find a richer wife in all the world." The Sultan explained to the guard.

When the girl was alone the man returned for a third time. "What will you give me if I spin the straw this time round?" the stranger asked.

"I have nothing more that I could give you," answered Lara.

The stranger held Lara's hand. "Promise me, after you become queen, I shall have your first child." The man told Lara.

"Who knows what will happen." said Lara. She promised the man what he demanded. In return, he once again spun the straw into gold.
