Losing You

Characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, and Shadow the Hedgehog

Intro

Shadow, Sonic, and Knuckles are looking back in their past. They all realized who they cared and loved. They are shocked to hear what had happened to them. They never thought anything bad would happen to them at all. As they looked around to find them, each of them suddenly gets a flashback. 

Amy wonders why Sonic is never around with her. 

Maria saw Shadow with Molly. 

Knuckles had hurt Rouge physically and emotionally. 

Shadow, Knuckles, and Sonic are deep in thought, but they can't realize what they did wrong.

Sonic's Story

As Sonic picks up Amy gently, he puts her back down and leaves her. Sonic can't exactly tell Amy what was going on. Sonic leaves her because he knew that he would turn into a monster. 

Amy has always thought of Sonic as her knight in shining armor. She knew that he would hurt sometimes, but she wanted to be with him the whole time he was healing. Sonic never caught on to this. 

One day, Amy was in a plane with Tails, but he never realized that the plane would go down until he hears their screams. He tried to rush on over to save them, but it was too late. 

Sonic remembers about buying two chili dogs. He was going to ask Amy to go on a lunch date with him after the plane landed, but he never had the chance. 

Hoping to find her alive by G.U.N. and Team Chaotix, he saved both chili dogs, one for himself, and the other one for her.

Knuckles's Story:

After strolling around town with Amy and Tails (this takes place before the tragic incident came in Sonic's story), he suddenly gets a glimpse of the future. 

He sees Rouge lying there very still. Not moving at all. He wants to think that she's not dead, at least not yet. 

He sees two knights that look a lot like himself and Shadow. They were known as Sir Gawain and Sir Lancelot. They told Knuckles about dark creatures lurking around ready to strike at anyone, showing no mercy. As soon as the two knights heard her scream, they tried to get to her in time. They killed all the dark creatures, but they saw that the creatures had already taken her life. 

He suddenly was sent back to the past, where he sees himself ignoring Rouge at everything she tries to say to him. Shocked to look at his past, he wanted to save her. 

He returns back into the present and tries to find Rouge. 

He finds her and tries to tell her what was going to happen, but she didn't believe him. She turns and walks away from him. 

He remembers that Rouge loves jewels and decides to buy her a gift later. He didn't want her to be in danger, so he looks after her. 

He saves her life twice. 

Knuckles tries to joke around with her every once and a while. He would do anything to make her happy. 

But one day, G.U.N. reported that Agent Rouge was missing. 

Knuckles had just bought a red Emerald for Rouge that day, but as soon as he heard that message, he quickly gets on a boat to try to find her. He hopes that she's okay, but he's not really sure.

Shadow's Story:

After realizing what he did, Shadow decides to go look for Maria. He gets on his motorcycle, grabs his gun, and when he has enough energy, turns into Super Shadow to search for her higher up. 

He suddenly gets stopped by Mephiles, saying she's dead. 

Shadow doesn't buy it and destroys him. Shadow hears in his mind, "Please help me, Shadow." He's still trying to search all over the world for her, gaining Chaos Emeralds along the way. 

But one day, G.U.N. called him and told Shadow the story. Maria was captured by Mephiles, in order to have her lure Shadow into his trap. But Mephiles was getting impatient and killed her. 

After Shadow hears about this, he couldn't believe it. He's in pain. He cries. He never wanted her life to be taken away so soon. She was young, beautiful, and a caring girl. He never wanted to lose her. 

G.U.N. later tells Shadow that all she wanted Shadow to do is to save this world and make friends with others. 

Shadow knew that's what she would say, so he did everything he could to please her. He would protect the world and the people and make friends with them as well.

Ending:

Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow meet at the same place, talking about Amy, Rouge, and Maria.

After hearing about the death of Maria from Shadow, Sonic and Knuckles decided that Amy and Rouge would have said the same thing. So they protected the world from harm and gain new friends. 

All three of them suddenly gets a flashback of when they were with their loved ones. Sonic says, "Amy, I'm sorry." He's very sorry that he didn't let her in his life more often and that he wasn't fast enough to save her life. 

Shadow says, "Maria, is this what you wanted?" Shadow has been using every ounce of energy to fulfill her wish every day. 

Knuckles whispers, "Rouge, I'll never forget you." She is always on his mind.

One day, G.U.N. finds Amy, Tails, and Rouge all alive. 

Rouge went to find Knuckles. 

Sonic went to find Amy. 

They both let them in their life more often. 

Tails begins to make a new plane. 

Shadow remembers Maria's promise and keeps fulfilling her wishes.

Author's note:

I remember that this was actually the first video I had to look up the character-limit that YouTube has put on the description and revised the wording and phrases in the story many times just so everything could fit in the description. I tried to hit "Publish" on YouTube a whole lot and worked on the description throughout that day in 2012 that it was kind of late in the night when I managed to do such a thing. xD

I'm thankful that both Tumblr and Wattpad does not have a said character-limit since I tend to actually write a lot.
