Characters: Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose

Sonic is holding a ring that Amy gave him earlier when she was on a plane.
As he starts looking at his ring, he starts having memories of Amy again.

Sonic finds Amy crying because the bracelet she made for him breaks. He takes care of her.
Amy smiles up and looks at him, but he realizes that everything that had happen was just a dream.
...
He wakes up and hears trouble coming from the town, and he sees Amy with his ring.
Sonic jumps up and grabs the ring to destroy Eggman's robot before it could destroy the town.

By the time the danger was over, Amy comes over to Sonic to congratulate him.
They both talk for a while until Silver shows up.
He hurts Sonic, but Amy gets in front of Sonic and tells Silver to stop.
Silver goes away, and Sonic asks why did he did that to him.
Amy looks directly at Sonic and tells him that he's probably being protective of Amy.
Sonic asks, "Why?"
Amy finally tells him that she's going out with Silver.
Sonic couldn't believe it, so he just runs away from her.

Sonic keeps his ring that Amy gave to him.
He sits down and imagines what it would be like if he was the one going out with Amy.
He hopes one day, his dreams and imaginations would come true.

Sometimes, I would go back to this video and story mainly to help me come up with "What If" scenarios for other projects I work on from time-to-time. Not really sure why since this is such a tragic story as well. I guess inspiration comes in many different forms c':
