I was sitting on the couch thinking about Lily and how weird things got while we were eating our meal. It wasn't anything specific really, just her thinking how good it was to finally be able to eat something.

I do not know what is going on with the whole mind blocking and if she's doing it or if it is me. I can't see how she would be able to, specially because she does not know I'm reading her mind. Or does she? I would like to talk to her but she was quiet again after we were done eating. She asked to be excused and asked if it would be okay if she could possibly take a shower. I said yes, of course. Anyways, I should probably check in on her.

I need to find a way out of here. I don't know how long it has been, but it's been long enough. He screwed up my plan the first time. Wonder what plan that is? And who is the "he" she is referring to? I was so close. I just have to be more cautious next time. I won't make that mistake again! I just need to find a way out of this house. Now how I am going to do that is another thing. I have one thing on my side though, he can't see so he won't be able to see me when I leave. Which is great. You stopped me once already Nate, but you won't get me this time. When did I ever stop her. I haven't tried stopping her from doing anything since she's been here. She hasn't ask for anything, especially if she wanted to leave! We only talked during dinner and that was only for a few seconds!

I released a huge sigh and shook my head. I got up and blocked her thoughts out of my head for now.  I exited the living room and headed back to the stair case. I got to the top of the staircase, but before I reached the end of the hall I stopped and knocked on Lily's room. My knuckles stricked the hard solid door emulating a loud banging sound. It was loud in a way that was also quiet at the same time... if that makes sense? I waited for a few minutes and nothing came from her side of the door. So I tried again but still not a peep from her.

"Lily I'm coming in... Hello? Is everything okay?" still nothing. I didn't want to invade her privacy, but when I tried to listen for her, I couldn't hear her. I wanted to make sure everything was okay. So I walked into her  room and when I walked through I only smelt a thin trace of her. I shifted my head from side to side taking a sniff to calculate how long ago she might have left.

It could not have been more than a few minutes... either she was already leaving when I listened in on her or she just left. Which I highly doubt, the only way out without me knowing would be through the window and that is a three story drop. No human could walk away without some for of injury and by that I mean a broken bone, specifically in the leg area. The only way I could see mortal walk away unharmed is with intense and serious training. And I highly doubt that she has had that type of training.

I smell her scent come from the side of the room. I started to follow the smell to the window. I went and stuck my head out the window. I felt the breeze  skim across my right cheek from  the north end of the property. I turned my face into the wing and within the i smelt the lilacs get stronger. Shit she is heading straight towards them.

I jump out the window and land with a light thud. I start at a fast jog in the direction that she took off in. I need to catch up to her before she reaches the end of the property. Once she passes the marker into their land, there wont be much I can do. Crap! The property is a few miles outside the forest, but i'm not sure how long ago she ran took off. I can't let her get that far. I pick up my speed just enough that when I catch her she wont think anything about it.

As I was running, I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that someone was watching me. Not like they're right by me ,but like they can see me? I sigh and shake my head and continue on my way to find Lily.

I went on for a few more yards before I stopped. I took a second to try and see if I could see how far ahead she was from me. I drew in another sniff and caught her sent. It get stronger than last time. I knew i was close. No more than ten minutes away from her. Just enough time and space before she reached them. I picked up my feet and continued in the same direction as before. As i was running I kept taking whiffs of the air to make sure that i was still heading in the same direction. She hasn't decided to change her route, but anything can happen in a split second.

I knew that I wasn't that far from her. I can hear her panting. Damn this girl is fast. I head off the course that she was on and decided to go around her. T his way that I could cut her off. I a span of thirty seconds I have gained the lead on her and put myself far enough in front of her. I emerged from her left and stood right in front of her.

She comes to a sharp stop with a loud thud.

"Guess you're not as fast as you run." I stated as she landed on the ground.

"Well maybe if a certain someone didn't run up on people like a maniac then I wouldn't have to worry about stopping. Now would I?" She huffed. Oops she's mad. I chuckled to myself.

"I wouldn't have to chase after you like some crazy lunatic  if you didn't just take off into the forest. With no ideas as to where you are or where you're heading! So, hold back to the attitude." I stated with my voice rising with each word that came out my mouth. "Now let me ask you this, What are you doing?"

"I don't have to tell you anything! You're not my dad or anything remote to being someone that I need to report to." She  said with conviction. "Now if you don't mind..." she pauses and I hear the leaves and twigs crunch underneath her weight while she tries to get up off the ground. I extend my arm out side help assist her. "I have places to be and those said places do not involve you."

"If that was the reason for you taking off all you had to do was say that you needed to be somewhere and I would have taken you where ever you needed to be."

"Thanks, but no thanks. I think I can manage on my own. I'm not a damsel in distress. I can handle myself."

"Is that so?" I questioned her with a "are you sure look on my face".

She scoffed at me," Yes it is so. Now like I said," she shoved past me and started heading in the same direction that I was trying to have her avoid," If you don't mind I'll be leaving now!"

"If your plan is to stay in the forest for the next some odd hours or so then I'd say you're defiantly going the right way. If you want I can give you a ride back into town and you wont ever have to see me again?" It was an honest question. I wasn't trying to sound mean or funny. If needed to be somewhere or just wanted to get away from me then so be it. I'm okay with that. I just can't have her roaming around the forest. I'll do anything so that doesn't happens. Even if she doesn't like it!

She came back to me. She brought her face up to mine. I felt her hot breath  fan my face. "You expect me to get into a car with you? How do I know that if I go with you, you won't just kill me as soon as we get back to your house?"

I chuckled a bit,"If I wanted to kill you honey I would done that a long ago. Hell I would have just let those men continue on their vicious attack on you. Now wouldn't I? So take your happy little legs that way" I brought my hand up pointing south back to my property.

She huffed an aggravated breath, that said she was getting mad. "Lookie here...?Who-"

"Nate." I stated as I cut her off.

"Nate!" she said as she raised her voice. "I don't really care what you think because I'm not stupid. Just because you say the whole 'i would have killed you earlier crap' does not mean that you won't! I have no reason to trust you or believe a thing you say. I don't know who the Hell you are! So no I will not leave with you."

She lowers herself and starts to walk off in the same damn direction. Ugh, why is that mortals can be so damn complicating. For once can't they just listen instead of thinking that they know everything.

"Lily?!" I howler at her.

"What? Dammit can't you get it through that thick skull of yours that I'm not going anywhere with you and there is not a single thing that you can do about it!" She barked at me and continued to proceed with her walking.

"You know I did not want to have to do this, but you left me know other choice."

"What do you mean? No other cho-" I cut off her words as I ran up behind her and lifted her off of the ground. I threw her over my shoulder and turned around and headed back to my house.
