alec's face, as well as mine, was a red mess. butterflies arose in my stomach, as if they were trying to look for an exit. my heart pounded, while my brain replayed the scene in my head. the way alec looked at me before his lips touched mine, and the way my heart fluttered while he held me. i would have never figured alec feeling this way about me. now imagine what i felt after we kissed.
we went from calling each other names, and pushing each other around, to sharing a passionate moment with each other.
i kept a cool composure and shook the thoughts away when we neared the group in attempt to not raise suspicion.

"hey douchebags!" i gleamed, the redness on my face dying down as i waved at them. they turned over to me; i received a few waves and hi's. except from gold and funneh who were fighting over god knows what.

"get in the water with me!" funneh yelled, pulling gold by the hand while she resisted and kept herself on the floor.

"it'll mess up my hair! not to mention my makeup isn't waterproof!" gold yelled back, looking away from funneh, trying to loosen her grip, yet nothing seemed to work.

there was a slight tension in the group, and as i examined everyone's reactions, no one spoke up and allowed the two to quarrel. some even found it amusing and watched them as if it was an episode of the kardashians. i finally shifted my gaze towards evan, who was already looking at me. he stared  into my (e/c) eyes, as i made contact with his emerald green ones. billions of thoughts ran through my head, afraid i was embarrassing myself.

was i making a stupid face?

i shook off the thought and took this time to walk over to him, ignoring the girls bickering. i bent over and stuck my hand out, which he took almost immediately. his hands were soft and gentle despite his build. his arms were muscular and quite veiny, not that i minded. he wore black swim shorts and was currently shirtless, showing off his abs. he also seemed to have vague tan lines on his arms from his t-shirt. black swimming goggles were placed on his head, and had hair sticking from all sides. and his piercings sat perfectly in his ears, gleaming in the sunlight. he was quite the sight for sore eyes.

what you didn't know was that he thought the exact same thing of you. he adored the sight of you. and the thought of your hands touching his made his heart rage with excitement. you reminded him of the stars, or the moon with the way your contagious smile lit up every room you stepped into. he loved the way your hair bounced when you moved. or the way your perfume would engulf his nose when you passed by him. and the sound of your pretty voice echoing in his ears as you said his name. oh how he loved the way you said his name.

this moment didn't last though, looking away from him, you noticed the group staring back at the two of you with blank and confused expressions. evan noticed this as well and broke the silence.

"so we're all finally ready to get in the water?" he asked shyly and a bit embarrassed. i tilted my head, as my way of asking the same question.

"so we're supposed to ignore that moment you two just had?" funneh asked, a smirk forming on her face as she snickered.

"yeah what was that!" gold added, crossing her arms. not at all helping my situation.

alec simply looked up from his phone, intrigued.

"i have no idea what you're talking about?" i stated innocently, pretending i didn't know what they were implying.

they all looked at me, then at evan, then back at me. they wondered whether to believe my statement or not.

"whatever. let's just get in before the water gets cold!" kyran exclaimed, pushing alec ever so slightly while running towards the water.
we all followed behind, taking in the smell of the ocean and the texture from the sand. the girls stopped as soon as they caught up to the boys, me included. the guys didn't hesitate to get in the water though. they all jumped in and created a big splash, causing all off us to get drenched in the water and shiver due to the coldness. all while the wind was blowing, making our arms hug ourselves for warmth.
