mondayonly a few periods left, or 3 if you may. you couldn't wait to finally get out of the god forsaken school. it may have been an eventful day but that was enough to make you want to knock out cold in your soft, warm bed.
walking into the room, you spotted a familiar blue haired girl and her sidekick friend. as soon as she noticed you, she waved her hands in the air like a manic, im attempt to grab hold of your attention. you laughed lightly at the sight and walked over to funneh, whom had a dorky smile plastered on her face.
"look we saved you a seat!" gold pat the chair, as you sat down and slowly got your belongings out with little to no motivation.
"so (y/n), you know that guy? with the red hair i mean."
and there was the question. the question you were kind of hoping she didn't bring up. mostly so that alec could get the chance to apologize himself instead of you doing it for him like you tend to do; but..
an idea crept its way inside your brain before you could. maybe you could set up a little play date for them; in other words, you could get them to spend some time together so they can make up like actual mature people. except it would be disguised as a group hang-out. after all, you knew alec would never agree to it if it were just the two of them. and with that, you put the plan into motion.
"i do actually! very close friends. we were actually wondering if you guys wanted to go to the upcoming fair with us or something! to get to know each other." your head rested at the palm of your hand, as you scanned funneh's face for any sort of reaction she expressed. she quickly side-eyed gold, hoping she'd answer for her.
gold grinned."we'd love to!"

two more hours left to go. at this point you, were so close to just ditching the rest of the day.
so you called alec to see if he felt the same. and as you expected, he did.
"god, i'm so tired." he yawned.
"hopefully not tired enough to go to the fair haha." you brought up the idea of the fair, trying to make it seem normal and not cause a scene with alec's reaction. you didn't want to get caught just yet; you weren't nearly close enough to the gate to make a run for it.
"the what?" he looked over at you, confusion filling his eyes.
"we're going to the fair." you tried hiding as much details about funnehs' presence as possible. alec knew what you were up to though, this wasn't the first time you tried to pull something like this.
"what did you do?" the two of you had now stopped walking.
"alec, we need to keep going, we're going to get caught." you tried avoiding the subject, at least until you were out the freaking door!
"no (y/n), i want to know now." his voice was stern. now you were the child being scolded. you felt your palms getting sweaty, not quite sure if you were ready to answer him.
"we're just going to the fair." you decided to give him a simple answer, it's not like you were lying or anything. just hiding a few things, which was only temporary anyways!
alec was still skeptical, but since he was a petty guy, he only continued walking, almost as if he was ignoring you.
"hey, don't be like that. why don't you ever want to hang out with meee?" you pouted, attempting to make your little white lie a little more believable. and so that he'd actually talk to you. you couldn't have your plan failing already.
when you were face to face in front of the gate; it almost appeared heaven-like. the sun reflected it beautifully. you were just relieved no one had stopped you, even with the ocasional looks teachers would give you.
"well, are you being completely honest with me?"
you stayed quiet.
alec sighed and crossed his arms as if he were a disappointed father.
before you could answer, you felt an odd presence lingering in the air.
"wait, hold on." you looked around anxiously, scanning the buildings to see if you could spot a kid who was about to snitch you out to the principal or anything of that sort.
alec suddenly yanked your hand and made a run for it. it hurt a little but you didn't complain, if anything, it felt nice to feel alec's skin brush up against yours.
"you felt it too?" you panted. the run had only lasted about 5 minutes, but it felt like you had just ran a marathon. you were sure you were about to pass out right there in the middle of the street.
alec raised a brow, looking down at your breathless face. "i didn't feel anything, your reaction just caused a fight or flight instinct in me or something."
that wasn't the only thing you caused. alec quickly looked away, brushing any weird thoughts that intruded his imagination.
"oh.. well anyways-" you started, but soon rudely interrupted.
"no, continue your answer to my question." he crossed his arms again, impatiently waiting for a reply.
"i meant exactly what i said! we're going to a cute little fair with some cute little friends. it'll be fun!"
part two of your plan was now a work in progress. all he had to do was say yes! how hard could that be?
"no." he looked at you with the blank eyes he'd give to anyone who wasn't you. it felt as if his eyes pierced through your own, but you needed to get the dude out of his shell already. you were too old for this!
his gaze soon returned; his eyes softened and a look of admiration spread across his face. it was hard for him to stay mad at you.
"whyy!" you violently shook his shoulders, attempting to annoy him to the point where'd he'd just say yes and go along with it. but just like you, he wouldn't budge.
"i'm busy." he answered. he didn't mind the violent shaking coming from your clasp. it just made your aroma make its way into his nose easier, which he couldn't get enough of. sometimes he'd even walk past you on purpose just to see if he could get a small scent of you. was it weird? yes. did he care? absolutely not.
"please! we'll go as a pair anyways!" you were practically begging for him to say yes at this point. your hands were clasped together, and you were inches away from his face. you hoped this was annoying enough to get him to just. say. yes.
and just as you planned, he gave a swift nod. not because you were being annoying; no. he never found you annoying. but because he thought you looked adorable. and he was excited to spend some time with you at the fair, even if the obnoxious girls tagged along. but his motto is that he'd do anything for you.
you internally cheered; kind of expecting the convincing part to take longer, but it came to be the opposite. to which you thanked the gods for.
you gave him a small embrace as a token of your gratitude.
"now let's go get some icecream or something."
