Chapter 5
After about an hour I was swimming in like a billion flashcards, about 20 for each topic.
The door opened and Fleur popped her head around the door.
'Hey Mia, Im back, Whatchu doing?'
As I was continued to revise with my billion cards, I replied, 'Revising, hows work?'
'Yeah, the normal, there were roadworks all across Southwell avenue, but I guess my mistake shouldn't have went that way' She paused for a second 'What do you want for dinner today?
I looked at her, trying to decide. 'I don't mind really' which meant in small words 'Help me, my brain is going to explode'.
Fleur looked at me and asked me 'Homemade lasagne, your favourite eh?'
I looked at her and said 'that's totally fine'. She nodded and walked out of the door. Moments later, Fleur popped her head around the door in and smiled.'Amelia, remember. Don't over-revise'
I looked up at her, gave a wide smile and shrugged my shoulders, carelessly. 'I'll be down in a bit to help you with dinner'
Fleur began to walk across the hall towards her room and hollered 'Kayyy'
---30 minutes later--
I was circling the room, in deep thinking mode. The mode in which I think extremely deeply about all the issues surrounding me in the recent days.
Fleur had been back for a half hour and started making dinner, I said I would help her, but was stalling up here, waiting for a reply from him. I really wanted a reply or at least an acknowledgement that he has even seen the message.
I kept on checking my phone, for a reply from Jason. I was beginning to question myself to why I had even bothered to message him. It was pointless.
I tightened my messy bun and left the room, kinda annoyed with myself.
I jogged down the stairs, and then I felt my heart pulse faster. I was stood still half way down the stairs. I knew it. I ran back up, jumped on my bed, searching for my phone, which was barricaded among my revision cards. Then I saw it.
'1 New Facebook Message'
For a minute there, I was in complete shock. In so much shock, I couldn't move, or even had any sense to even open the message. After like five minutes, I opened it, and didn't know what to really expect, like was he gonna be rude or like 'ughh her! why did she message me?' I didn't know.
