Chapter-2

"Earth to Hanna, Earth to Hanna." Hanna snapped out of her thought with Preslie's hand waving in front of her acting as if trying to wake her up.

She slapped it away making the goofy Preslie laugh.

"Why did the conversation suddenly shift on me and my past relationship? It was you who was supposed to be the topic of our conversation." Hanna said trying to take the conversation away from her ex as far as possible.

"Because yesterday I saw you check his streaks on Snapchat. Which of course means you guys are still in touch. Am I correct or am I correct?" Sometimes Miracle's confidence was off-putting especially when she was correct.

"You know Mira it's just not that he even sent her a private message which had the picture of a handmade birthday card that we made for him during the final years of our school." Presile was no less of a devil.

God, she hated that her friends were so correct in this matter.

"So, why not you move on as well? Because seeing a smart and good girl like you being stuck up for a scoundrel ex of yours is unnerving." She bowed her head so as not to give away the whirlwind of emotions passing across her face at that very moment.

"And as for you Pres, Hanna is right. You can't just say that the grapes are sour just because you weren't able to reach them. At least give this online dating thingy a try. No harm in it. And if anything goes wrong, we both have your back." Oh God Miracle was on fire today.

"...I...aa..mmmm...kinda...confused about this whole thing.." Confusion and something other than that which Hanna was not able to make out was clearly evident on Preslie's face.

"What if I by mistake end up dating a cheating husband, what if my date is a man whore just playing with me, or worse what if my date is a serial killer and..." "Stop, put the train of your thoughts to a halt my dear Pres. Why would you think something like that? And you are the bravest one of us. And the ones you suggested are like what 1 out of 100 cases? And why would you expect it to happen to you? Besides you have us." Hanna never thought her to be so paranoid.

But then again given Preslie's past experience with life other than love, anyone was bound to be at this level of paranoia.

"And also, I have something about Miracle too which I have known for a long time." Hanna announced cheekily. It was her time to get back at her dearest friend. If she was going down she would take her along.

Again, Miracle's posture stiffened with a slightly knowing and sacred look.

She knew what was about to come when Hanna flashed a grin toward her. Typical Hanna thing to do when she is about to make an explosive statement.

But now she wanted to know what was that "something" Hanna knew.

"So, this is about our 2nd year of Law school. Pres remember when I told you that two of my friends liked each other but one thought the other didn't like her and vice-versa." Suddenly Miracle felt two sets of eyes on her.

"Yes Hansy, I had not met with your law school pals yet, so wasn't able to deduce who were you talking about. But now I think I know." Preslie flashed her signature goofy grin.

"But you may not know about the guy. The guy is none other than our bestie Charlie Addams." The announcement made Preslie's mouth drop open, and Miracle became crimson in color.

"And that's not the end my friend. Both of them on different occasions have confessed their feelings to me. So, basically, he thinks she doesn't like me and she thinks he doesn't like her. But I'm the one who knows their feelings are mutual. So, not just you Pres but I would also like Mira to take up this as a challenge. What wrong can happen apart from the relationship not working out at least you won't regret giving it a chance." Judging by the looks on their faces both of them seemed to be convinced much to Hanna's pleasure.

But as soon as she saw Preslie look at her grinning evilly, she knew that her plan of motivating her friends was going to backfire on her.

Both Preslie and Miracle looked at each other as if passing silent messages after a while Miracle had the same expression on her face as Preslie had.

"We agree to what you have said and we fully intend to do that as per your advice but we have a condition for that... You too will have to join the online dating app alongside me." Preslie announced triumphantly.

Hanna knew that these two won't give up without a fight and this is how they were retaliating, so be it.

"Okay, let's do this. Hanna said with a deadpan look.

Preslie and Miracle started jumping and squealing like two, five-year-olds who just have been given their favorite candy.

Hanna did have plans to move on but she didn't know when.

These last six years she always kept on lying not just to others but to herself too that she has moved on but never truly did.

But now as she can deduce this time, she has no choice but to move on thanks to her roomies.

Oh god, this surely is going to be one hell of a test.

It's been so long since she has been with a guy other than her guy friends.

But she loved her friends and if they can give a chance to their love lives just by her being involved then she is happy to do so.
