Inhaling, I felt the sting hit my lungs almost instantly. A small smile crept across my lips as I blew the smoke out the passenger window, shooting a glance at Stan next to me. His gaze still refused to meet mine, and I took it as a small victory. Guess what I said really got to ya, huh buddy?
It wasn't long before the truck was pulling in to the Broflovski's drive way. I felt the seat move, glancing over to see Stan shifting in his seat a bit. Right, I thought, looking back at the house. They hadn't made up yet, huh? As soon as the vehicle shifted to park, I opened the door, taking another drag off my cigarette. Noticing it was almost gone, I dropped it to the ground, stepping on it and twisting my foot slightly. Finally releasing the smoke that screamed in my lungs, I shoved my hands in my pockets and began walking towards the door.
I heard the truck doors slam behind me, but didn't bother turning around. Knocking lightly on the wood of the door, I waited for it to either open or the others to catch up, whichever happened first. Bright red hair was the first thing I saw as the door was pulled open, hearing the others' footsteps right behind me at that point. "Sup, Jew?"
Rolling his eyes, Kyle stepped to the side to let us enter. "Hey Fatass," He started, his expression shifting the second Kenny followed after me. "Hey, babe." The tone in his voice took on some sugar as he got on his tip toes to kiss Ken's cheek as he entered. Kyle was about to close the door behind him when he realized Stan was with the group. "Oh," The redhead trailed off, stepping to the side again for Stan to enter.
"Hey cutie." Kenny smiled, planting his lips gently against the ginger's temple.
Stepping inside, Stan found cover behind me as he stared over at his former best friend. "Hey, Kyle." His voice was quiet, and I could hear him shifting from one foot to the other. This was a clear tell that he was uncomfortable.
"Hey, dude." Kyle nodded to him, before turning his attention to Kenny with a raised eyebrow. Leaning closer, he whispered something to the blonde. I watched as the two exchanged in a hushed conversation, turning my attention to the raven haired male behind me.
"I'm sorry, baby. I know, I know." Kenny's was the first voice I could hear clearly as the two continued to talk. Looking Stan up and down quickly, I took a step to the side, removing his hiding spot. The look in his eyes shot daggers, causing a slight snicker to escape my lips.
Looking down at his feet, Stan continued to shift his weight from one foot to the other. As he heard Kenny's voice pick up in volume, he turned his gaze to me. When our eyes met, neither of us looked away. I almost felt bad for how uncomfortable he clearly was, but then I remembered he had done this to himself and shrugged a bit. Noticing that he was going to get no help from me, he averted his gaze to the couple now arguing. "I can leave, if it's an issue." His voice was soft.
Green eyes quickly darted in our direction, falling on Stan before shifting to me. "No, you don't have to leave. S-" Kyle stopped himself as he was about to apologize, anger and sadness dancing in his eyes. His eyes fell back to Stan, who was now staring at the floor again.
"Look, I'm sorry." Stan muttered, quietly. He was almost cute, all upset like that. Shaking the thought from my mind, my gaze shifted from Stan to Kyle and back again.
"Oh, you're sorry?" I could see the ginger was starting to get upset. Clearly, Kenny could as well, as he wrapped an arm around Kyle's waist to try to calm him. Unfortunately for Stan, it didn't work. "You haven't said a word to me in over two years!" His voice was growing in volume as his emotions took control.
"Three." I correctly, smugly. Sorry Stan, but you got yourself in to this one, and I didn't have the balls to yell at you like Kyle did.
"Three years, thank you Cartman." Kyle corrected himself, taking a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose.
