"You are making fun of me again…"
Helena broke off their eye contact shyly.

Theodore chuckled and held her nape lightly.
"I am being honest." He caressed her freshly red cheek.
"I adore you, Helena."

"..."

"I also think that your characteristics do suit mine very well."

"This is way too rushed…"

"Yeah, I am rushing because I want to leave this country with your acceptance of my proposal. If kidnapping isn't illegal… I would have totally done that."

"What are you saying…! What if the others hear you…"
Helena tried to cover his mouth but her wrist was held. She blushed at the determined light in his eyes. Theodore raised the slender hand to his lips slowly and then kissed it.
"It's just the two of us here."

"Your majesty…"

"What do you think about me? Am I your type of man? Do I look like I would be your amazing husband? You have to be honest, my lady."

"I don't know."

It wasn't that Helena didn't know. Theodore looked like he would be really refreshing to be with. He knew how to make someone's day while being honest in a considerate way. Someone like him probably adores children too. Theodore surely would make a great husband and father but Helena shook her head in embarrassment, dodging his question. She did not want to believe that his confession was real. Apart from being a king, he is single and so much younger than her. How could they be together? Can a divorced woman marry a crowned king? She even had a child.

"If you are worried about your past background, there is no need, because my country is not the same as yours, my lady. As long as you are doing your role well, nothing matters." As if he saw through her mind, Theodore spoke out to assure the woman. Helena looked at him in hesitation. One part of her wanted to accept him and the other one was scared.

Theodore caressed her long silky hair. He knew that she is scared of accepting someone new even though it has been years since her past relationship went to an end. She must be so anxious to make a decision but Theodore did not want her to worry about him acting like that ex-husband of hers in the near future.
"Don't worry about anything and focus on me."

His rough hand lifted her chin lightly to meet his lips. He wanted to make her laugh like a baby and caressed her all night long. Theodore took her left hand to place on his left chest. As their faces brushed each other, he whispered.
"I have been taking care of this heart since a long time ago. I can only give it to one woman and that woman shall be my wife. Since I came of age, I never saw someone as fit.. until I found you on the dancing street that day."

"..."

"You shine brightly among the crowd just like the moon." He dropped his hand to her little waist.

"..."

"Even though you were shining, some parts of you hid in the dark. The moment I learnt the truth, I realized that it was a painful memory."

Helena felt her heart throbbing while her eyes flooded with water. Looking deep into his eyes, she had just realized how hard that moment was for her… how much her life fell down… and how much she had gone through.. Helena hugged his huge body. She remembered how painful it was… that she thought she could not survive those heavy feelings.

"You did well."

"..."

"You've been taking care of yourself so well for all these years so from now on.. let me." He hugged and patted the head that rested on his chest.

"Please talk to my parents first…"

When she said that, the man bursted out laughing and there go the serious moment they had from a minute ago. He tightened his hug and responded.
"Should I just kidnap you? You also want to be with me anyway."

Helena couldn't help but let out a little laugh. She pinched his chest.
"Then I will take back my yes from your majesty.."

"You can't do that~ I have already owned it in my five senses."

"You joke with people too much…"

"Don't you like your man being a free comedian? Should I charge people before making them laugh from now on?"

"...stop."

"Hahaha."
