The morning after, the King walked around with a satisfied smile on his face and everybody in the Queen's palace knew why…

"Oh my lord…" the maids gasped seeing the condition of the Queen's body.

Helena let out an awkward and embarrassed laugh. She didn't know what to say. They knew what Theor and her were doing from last night and how hard they went at it. The bite marks were here and there on her small body. He didn't let a single inch on her delicate skin untouched. He tasted her all the way from head to toe saying he wished to satisfy her hidden desire.

As the imperial couple was doing great, there were some people who had yet to give their acceptance of the divorced Queen. Just like any typical Emperor and King, Theodore himself also had some noble ladies who were paired with him idealistically by the line of ministries. So the nobly young ladies who had their chances snatched away by some woman who was divorced and even got a child, were displeased.

"Your majesty, lady Lowell requested a private audience."

"Reject it."

Right away, without hesitation, Theodore demanded. The secretary felt sweat on his spine. This young lady from Lowell household was the closest woman to be the Queen in everyone's attention. She's a lady influential in noble society and her father is the former King's closest aide, it'd be putting her into a little shame when he straight away rejected her request of the audience like that.

Two days later, Helena suddenly got an idea of gathering a tea ball among the noble ladies to get close to them and get herself on their good side.

Theodore didn't really like it but didn't oppose either. After all, it was her first time wanting to host a party. He didn't want to ruin it just like that.

He only lightened up when someone informed him that the tea ball went well. Helena had a great time with them. That was what was important to him. But after that day, they were invited to lady Lowell's birthday party. Theodore didn't smile for long. Helena, who had no idea, was pleased.

Attending with a couple dress and suit, Lady Lowell greeted them well, showing no sign of hatred and jealousy, there was only the classy characteristics exhibited from her. As the party went by, suddenly, the Queen was scouted somewhere by the noble ladies who had tea with her two days ago. Theodore had a hard time finding his Queen so he sent his knight to search for her.
He stood in a corner waiting for her arrival but instead someone else showed up.

"Your majesty. I have something to say to you." Lady Lowell, the birthday girl, stated with a disappointed look on her face.

"Say it."

"Not here."

"People will get the wrong idea. You know you can't just go somewhere privately with a married man whether it is a king or a commoner."

"Your majesty, you shamed me enough. Now again?"

"I did not. I clearly told you that I didn't see you that way even before my Queen showed up in front of me."

"Your majesty!"

"Ha. Let's keep a good term, shouldn't we? If you're still at this, we'll end badly."
As he turned his broad back on her, the almost sobbing lady scowled.

"Don't act like you forgot that day in the temple."

"You and I didn't do anything." He turned around.

Lady Lowell took a step ahead, cutting the distance between them and responded.
"But I still remember the feeling of your hands on my thighs."

"Both of us were possessed by the dark energy of that experiment, I thought I made it clear I didn't put my hand on you because I wanted to. You do know that too, you were also possessed."

"But you did put your hand on me. I will let your Queen know."

"Are you trying to die? Did you know it could be considered as a crime of trying to break the King and Queen's marriage? I'm saying this because you're still dear to me as we grew up seeing each other but I won't hold back anymore if you try something funny."

"You shouldn't have chosen her in the first place. I lack nothing. I'm capable of being a Queen and even better than her. Everyone thought it was going to be me. Do you know how ashamed I am to be dumped by you?"

"I thought we're friends and I want to keep it that way. I thought you didn't fall into the idealization of people. I was wrong I guess. You're right. I lost consciousness for a moment and had my hand on your skin but how far did it go? None. I fought back and I held myself back right in time, because I saw you as my friend, I didn't want to touch my childhood friend who grew up like a sister to me. But if you're doing this, what am I supposed to think of us from now on? I'm also sorry about that day."

Lady Lowell stared into his eyes and requested the most unbelievable statement to his ears.
"Let's go inside the temple again. Just the two of us. Let's prove ourselves. The experiment is done. That dark energy couldn't make someone crave for another person if that someone never lust over them anymore. If your majesty can prove that, I'll give up.'
