Chapter 26
I felt someone shaking me. I groaned and cuddled my pillow. "Raise and shine butterfly," an annoying voice said moving the covers. I'm getting a strong sense of deja vu. This had to happen before.
"Zayn, get the hell out," I groaned into my pillow. Then the room grew silent. Suddenly I was in someone's arms instead of my bed. He was walking quickly and I struggled in his arms. "Zayn, put me down."
His forest green eyes glowed with amusement. "I can't do that, if I do you'll fall down the stairs," He smirks.
I groaned and let him carry me downstairs. "What do you want from me?" I whined cuddling into his chest.
"How about a welcome home? A home-cooked meal? A warm bed that's not a hotel bed?" He laughs setting me on my feet. I looked around the kitchen and glanced back at him.
I grinned and wrapped my arms around him. "Welcome home Zayn, what would you like for breakfast?" I asked smiling up at him.
"Now that you mention it, I'll probably eat anything you make," He shrugged putting his face in my hair.
I nodded and pulled away. I told him to sit down in the living room and began to collect the ingredients for what I wanted to make.
"What are you making?" He asked.
"Food."
"No shit, but really..."
"Food, so shut your yapper, stupid tallywacker," I mumbled. Zayn groaned irritatedly as he turned, going into the living room.
"Ser-"
I heard the front door open and three sets of footsteps ran towards the kitchen.
"Mommy!"
I turned around and gasped. Three small bodies wrapped their arms around me. "Hey babies," I grinned hugging and kissing them happily.
"Mommy, grandma took us to the aquarium and we saw the penguins!" Rachel grinned.
"And we saw sharks and turtles," Danny added.
"And it was sooo pretty, I even got to see a dolphin," Evie says bouncing up and down.
"Aww, that sounds like so much fun... Guess what..."
"What?" They asked excitedly.
"Uncle Zayn is in the living room," I whispered to them.
They grinned and disappeared into the living room. I heard Zayn laugh and the kids giggle. I turned around and jumped. "Hey Lori," I grinned.
"Hello honey," She smiled and hugged me. Her brown eyes glowed, I see where Dean gets his eyes. "I heard what happened with Dean. I swear that boy only wants to see his side."
I groaned and put my face in my hands. "I've never seen him so heartbroken... It made me feel horrible!"
Well beside the night he came to my bar...., I added mentally.
Her hands pulled mine from my face. "I haven't seen him that way either, but he has to understand that you've been through a lot and not to push you. He's so stubborn... Maybe if he's lucky, I could get another grandchild out of you..."
To say that surprised me was a lie. "Oh my god! Why do people keep saying that? They're like 'have another baby,' 'we can't wait til you have another one.' 'Why not have another baby?' I love kids, sure I see myself having them in the future, but not right now. After all, I already have three. This station is closed," I said going back to the stove.
