Chapter 13
"Help me with these boxes," I said picking up a box. I positioned it so that it wasn't resting on my stomach, and waddled to the kitchen.
"I thought I told you not to lift any boxes? Do you want to hurt my niece and my nephews?" Avery scolded.
"Pregnancy is not a disability," I rolled my eyes placing the box on the table. I'm due in a couple of weeks. Everyone says I should slow down.... Not gonna happen.
I know I'm having a girl and a boy, but the doctor can't tell what last baby is. They kept moving during the ultrasound.
"Sit down, relax... I told you we got this," Sam says. "If you want to do something so bad unpack those boxes upstairs."
I got right to work unpacking the boxes in Alex's room. My mom, brother, sister, dad, and uncle were here. Plus the additional help from Jessica, Sam, Will, Carter, and Alex. Moving furniture, and all. I feel so lazy sitting here.
I finished Alex's room and moved to Sam's room. They have so much frigging clothes. So do I, but I can't fit any of it. I can't get up either. I'm stuck on Sam's beanbag chair. I tried to roll on my side. Can't get up.
"Sammy, Alex? Someone help, I can't get my.... I can't get up," I cried.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" Jessica gasped running into the room.
"No, I feel so fat," I whined.
"You're not fat, just pregnant. Now let me help you up," She chuckles pulling me up.
"Three kids, in three more weeks."
"I think everyone is more excited than you are," She stares at me curiously.
"I am happy, excited, nervous even." Truth be told I was all those things, but scared the most.
"You're scared."
"Yeah," I shrugged.
"It'll be okay, trust me," she smiled reassuringly.
"Why weren't we friends before? Our group could've used you."
"I don't know, but I think you should talk to Zayn before it's too late."
"Nope," I said without caring.
"Ryan Peyton Sawyer, you WILL go find Zayn and rekindle your relationship," She ordered. What is up with people saying my full name? And ordering me around?
"Naww, I think I'll just finish unpacking and go on with my life."
"Alright, then I will." She snatches my phone and dials Zayn's number. I started to protest, but she ignored me.
"Hi, who's this?" Zayn's voice rang out of the receiver.
"This is Jenna," She says in Jenna's voice. She always had a talent of doing the best impressions of other people's voices.
"Hey Jenna, what's up?" Zayn asked curiously.
"Um, are you really going to lose Ryan over something like this?" She asked glancing at me.
He paused for a second. "You want me to apologize? To her? No, I didn't do anything wrong."
"Stubborn bastards..." She muttered. "Look, you guys were meant to be friends, your names are basically the same. Tell me you don't want to apologize?"
"I do, but nothing I do or say will make her forgive me. I made her cry," He groaned. I could picture him frustrated, jaw locked, and running his fingers over his face.
