Chapter 9

It's been weeks since the last time I seen Zayn. We avoid each other in the school corridor, it's killing me. I miss my best friend, but he's too stubborn to admit he was wrong. And me and Jessica are starting to get close. Tonight is the Halloween Dance at our school. Halloween's tomorrow.

"What do the costumes look like?" I whined.

"Can't tell you," Alex smirked.

"Pleaseeee..."

"No, not until tonight," She said rolling her eyes.

"I wove you, Alex," I smiled using my baby voice.

"What does she want now?" Sam asked.

"She wants to see the costumes," Alex smirked.

"I want see them too. Lemme seeeee, lemme seeeee, lemme seeeee," She sang.

"Weirdos, I always get stuck with them," Alex mumbled under her breath.

"Look who's talking," I rolled my eyes. She stuck her tongue out at me.

"So, who do you think wrote the note?"

"I don't know, the person only said 'Sincerly A Secret Admirer,'" I said sarcastically.

"I know what it said. I'm saying who do you think wrote it?" Sam hit me on the back of the head.

"Oww, you're a butt," I grimaced.

"I don't know who I think wrote it," Just as I said this a paper airplane, similar to the one from the Secret Admirer, shot through my window and landed on my bed.

I read it out loud:

Dear Sawyer,

I know you don't know who I am. That's the point of it being a Secret Admirer.

Anyway meet me at the back of the school at 8, I'll be the only one there. Trust me, if you don't you can bring Alex and Sam.

See you there... Sincerely,

Your Secret Admirer

P.S. I promise I'm not like the rest....

"I guess I have to wait til 8," I sighed.

"I looked right after it came in, but I only saw a white Mercedes leaving," Alex said.

"What do mean 'I?' We're coming with you," Sam stated stubbornly.

"Whatever," I looked at the clock it said 4.

We spent a half an hour sitting on my bed in a comfortable silence other than small talk.

"Time to get up," Alex clapped.

"So, can we see them?" Sam asked.

"Nope, get washed with this," she said throwing two bottles at us.

"What is it?" I sniffed it.

"Something Jenna gave me."

We took our showers and met each other back in my room.

"Now what?"

"Close your eyes," She grinned.

"Okay." Sam and I closed our eyes.

"Hi guys," A voice said.

"Jenna?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping Alex with your costumes," She said. I could picture her rolling her eyes.

"Okay." I felt hands fixing my hair. It was twisted and pulled into all these different directions. A corset was slipped on me.

"A little too tight," I gasped. "Remember, it's not just me in here."

"Sorry." The corset was loosened to an appropriate state.

Soon makeup was applied on my face, my hair was done, and all I need was my costume. I was slipped into a dress-like cloth, it was tightened slightly in the back.

"Now lift your feet up." I did as I was told, and I felt boots slide on my feet. "Now open your eyes..."

I did as I was told and I looked in the mirror to see a girl. But she wasn't me.

"Oh my god," I gasped.

She had loose wavy curls pinned up by hair clips. Her honey brown eyes were alive, they were outlined in a shimmering blue liner. Her makeup was perfect, her lips a soft pink. Her dress was something from the 1860s. Elegant.

It was a light blue dress, long sleeve top and a flowy skirt. It had white lace around the low-cut neck line, and made beautiful designs around the skirt. It showed all my curves in all the right places.

"Your more beautiful than before. The 1860s suit you well," Jenna grinned. She was in a witch costume, her dress similar to mine. It was different though. Typical Jenna, the witch.

"You would've been the talk of all town," Alex grinned.

I looked at Sam to see she was an identical dress as mine, except the color was lavender. Her hair was pinned up into tight curls. Her makeup was beyond perfect. She looked absolutely elegant. Her eyes snapped open and met mine instantly.

"Well don't you look elegant Miss Davis," I smiled with a small bow.

"I disagree... you look lovely, Miss Sawyer," She grinned.

"I have yet to see my shoes," I said lifting up my skirt to see some nice modern knee highs.

"No one can see them," Alex shrugged.

"I love it, I really do," I smiled hugging her.

"Now get washed and dressed, we have an two hours left," I said pushing her to the bathroom.

She got out and got dressed into a dress that was identical to ours, but it was a light red. Her hair was pinned up into a neat, perfect bun. Her makeup was done to perfection.

"It's 7:30, let's go," Alex said checking her watch.

"Hey wait up," Avery said running towards us. She was dressed in the same outfit as Jenna, but it was black and a dark red. Jenna's was black and violet.

"Aww, you coming little sis?"

"Yes, I love your costumes," She squealed.

"Is Will coming?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, but he already left with Bryan."

"Okay let's go," I said getting into my car.

"It feels so weird without Zayn here," Alex sighed.

"I know," I whispered silently.

"Who cares, stupid asshole made Ryan cry," Sam stated stubbornly.

"Oh Ryan! I can see your small baby bump!" Jenna grinned.

Changing the subject, A small voice floated through my mind. I glanced at the rear view mirror at Jenna. She winked secretively at me.

"You can?"

"Yes, but not a lot. Aren't you like two months?"

"Yup," I smiled rubbing my stomach affectionately.

"So, I was thinking of the names. Three boys names Jayden, Hayden, and Cayden. Three girls names Kade, Jade, and Haley," Avery suggested.

"Avery, dear.... I have seven months left, what's the rush?" I asked with raised eyebrows.

"I just want the names approved..."

"Seven months, okay? Anyway I have to find out what I'm having first," I said ruffling her hair.

"Stop it, you're messing with my curls," She said fixing her curls.

I parked in the school parking lot, and headed around back..........
