Five Years Later

"Mami!!!! Danny poured syrup in my hair!!!!" Rachael cried.

"Daniel, stop acting like a meanie," Evie yelled chasing after him.

I sighed running my fingers through my hair. I mumbled to myself, "They don't get this from my side..."

"Daniel, apologize to your sister..." I narrowed my eyes at the little boy with shaggy brown hair and big brown eyes.

"But she-fine. I'm sorry Rachael," he mumbled quietly.

"Evie, Danny, go find your father...."

We went to the bathroom and I turned on the water, filling up the tub.

"Am I going to take a bath?"

"Yup."

"Please don't pour water on me," She says with wide eyes.

"So, you have a problem with me washing your hair, but not trying to dive in the lake? I swear, they gave me the wrong kids," I laughed until I saw her face. "Not that I don't love you, your just more like your dad."

She gave me this look, like I was confusing her. "Nevermind niña, I'll let you take a bath."

I let her and went to the living room. I sat on the couch and let out a sigh of contentment. God, I never get a break.

Just five minutes.... It's all I need.

"Ryan?"

I jumped up and tackled Ethan. "Ethan!!!!" I screamed in his face.

"Hey Ryan, babe how's it going?" He groaned smiling.

"It's great, I missed you so much. Your girl's keeping you away from me........"

That's right Ethan has a girl.... His second mate to be exact. I still love him, always will.

"Yeah she doesn't want me to come over as much."

I narrowed my eyes at his tense figure. "Say what?"

"She doesn't wa-"

"Oh, I know what you said. And I truthfully don't like it. Ethan.... You're my best friend, please don't do this to me again."

"Do what?"

"Ethan, when we first found our mates... She didn't like me, and told you to stay away from me... I kicked her ass and.....you ended up killing her......"
