At the end of the day

Chapter 5

Maddy's POV

When we arrived at the diner. Matt and I got a booth near the window. This window was facing a pond. The scenery was breath taking. I looked back at Matt who was trying to figure out what he wanted to eat. He looked really cute today. I tried not to stare at him but it was pretty hard not to. My staring ended when the waiter came over to our table and asked us what we wanted to drink and eat. I got a lemonade and a Chicken Caesar Wrap with French Fries. Matt ordered a Coke and Bacon Cheese Burger with fries. After we ordered Matt looked at me and asked, "So what made you move to Woodbridge?" I made eye contact with him and said," My parents job relocated not to far from Woodbridge, so instead of finding a new job they just moved right with it." "Oh, that makes sense." he responded. Then the conversation got silent. He started it back up by saying " So there is this huge party tonight with a lot of the people I go to school with, and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me?" "Yeah ill go, What time does it start?" I said. " It starts at 7 so I figured that we could go back to my house and watch Netflix or something." Okay" I said while smiling.

When I finished saying this our waiter came over and gave us our food.

We ate while maintaining a conversation. When we were done eating the bill was put on our table. I reached to grab for it when Matt pushed my hand back gently and picked the bill up. He looked at the amount and then put the money and the bill back on the table. We slide out of the booth, got in his car, and drove off.

When we got to his house it was about 1:30. He came around to my side of the car and opened the door for me. I got out and closed the door and followed him to his front porch. He unlocked the door and we walked in. His house looked exactly like mine in the inside. We walked to this door that was near the kitchen. He opened it and we walked down the stairs. It was like a small apartment. There was a kitchen, and a bathroom. He also had a bed that was against the wall with a large TV. He walked over to his bed and left me standing there. Then he said " You can sit near me you know." I smiled and walked to the bed and sat down next to him. He grabbed a remote from his night stand and put on Netflix. He put the movie Remember Me and we sat with our backs on the headboard of his bed. I was starting to get tired a quarter way through the movie. So I put my head on Matt's shoulder and fell asleep.
