Maddy's POV
It's been a few days and I still haven't texted Matt. I figured I should though. I take out my phone and open up messages. I have 5 messages from my friends back home. But I decided that I would read them later. I quickly hit new messages and type in his name. I send to him:
Hey it's Maddy I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today.
A minute later my phone goes off and it's Matt saying:
Yea walk over in about 30 minutes and we can get something to eat at this diner that takes about 20 minutes to drive to.
I responded back to him with an okay:)
I needed to get ready fast. I re straightened my hair, brushed my teeth, and did my makeup. This took me a good 20 minutes. I ran over to my closet and pulled out a lifeguard hoodie, a tank top, and white converse. I set my clothes on my bed and went to my dresser to get jean shorts, a bra, and underwear. I quickly put my clothes on grabbed my wallet and house keys and walked downstairs. My parents where nowhere to be seen so I sent them a text saying that I would be home later. I went out the door and locked it then started to walk across the street.
I saw Matt leaning against his car as I walked closer. He saw me and then a smile came across his face. When I reached his car he walked towards me to open the car door. I got in his car and seconds later so did he. We pulled out of his drive way and then hit the road. I thought the car ride was going to be slightly awkward since we haven't known each other for that long. But it wasn't we got to know each other better and we also had many moments of laughter.
