The next evening Nicole was making bread. She was kneading the dough and already had a loaf in the oven. There was knock at the door. She rinsed her hands and went to get it. When she opened it she surprised to see Sam standing there.

"Sam." She said. "What are you doing here?"

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah." He went inside. "Come into the kitchen with me." They went into the kitchen.

"It smells good in here." "What are you making?"

"Bread." "What's up?"

"I told you we were gonna talk."

"Right now?"

"Yes."

"Sam look, I am attracted to you and I do like you but I can't do this."

"Why?"

"I'm your teacher."

"Fine, don't be my teacher anymore." He knelt down. "Just be my girlfriend." "You have flour on your cheek." He took his palm and wiped it away. He kissed her. She followed his lead and kissed him back. The timer on the oven beeped. She broke the kiss.

"I have to get that." "I'm taking the bread to the homeless shelter tomorrow." She took it out of the oven.

"See, that's why I want to be with you." "You're sweet, kind, you'll do anything for anyone."

"I'm to old for you." "You're just a kid."

"I'm eighteen."

"Do you know how sure I was about everything in the world when I was your age?"

"I'm sure this isn't one sided." "I know you want to be with me to." "Especially when you kissed me." He leaned over and kissed her. She kissed him back breaking it after about a minute.

"Ok, ok, ok." "I'm not saying we're together but we can see how it goes for now."

He smiled. "Alright.
