Two days had passed since Sam kissed Nicole. She couldn't stop thinking about it. Rose was at Nicole's apartment. She was talking but Nicole wasn't listening.
"Nicole?" She asked. "Nicole, are you listening?"
"What?" "Sorry." "You were saying."
"I said it really looks like I'm getting that promotion." "I should know by next month at the latest."
"That's great."
"You should come with me."
"I'll think about it."
"Ok, what is going on with you?"
"I'm attracted to someone."
"Who?"
"Someone I've been giving cooking lessons to." "Rose, he kissed me."
"Aw, your first kiss."
"Yeah."
"I don't think you should start anything with a student."
"I know but that's not the only problem." "He's younger and that's making me hesitate."
"I think the best idea is not to get involved with him."
"Yeah, that's the logical choice."
The next day Nicole and Sam just finished his lesson.
"Are we really not gonna talk about it?" He asked kneeling down in front of her.
"What?"
"Our kiss."
"You kissed me."
"I can't stop thinking about it." "I can't stop thinking about you."
"It was my first."
"You're first kiss?"
"Yes."
"Want another one?" He asked drifting closer to her lips. Her phone rang.
She answered it. "Hello?" "You're kidding." "I'll be right there." She hung up and looked at Sam. "I have to go." "Rose locked her keys in her house." "I have spare keys."
"We're eventually talking about this."
"Ok." They both left and went their separate ways.
