Taken From The Nest

~Seven~

Toga woke you up shortly after getting off the phone with Hawks. She had gone upstairs to get you some breakfast while you were getting dressed in some new clothes that she had managed to sneak down to you. Once you were dressed, Toga came back down to you, handing you a apple and a bowl of cereal. You sat on the bed and ate the cereal first. Toga explained everything that your dad had told her.

"I'm seeing my daddy again?" you ask, wiping cereal from your mouth.

"Yes, in just a few hours he and the other pros will be here to save you." Toga replied.

"Yay! But will I ever see you again? You have been really nice to me all while I've been here." you say, putting the bowl down.

"I hope we can see each other again." Toga said, pulling you close to her.

Suddenly, the door opened and Shigaraki called down to Toga.

"Toga, get up here." Shigaraki said.

Toga sighed and let you go.

"I'll be right back, Keila." she said, getting up.

You nod and grab the Hawks plush as Toga walked up the stairs to see Shigaraki.

"What is it?" she asked.

"We need to go get more supplies, get ready." Shigaraki said.

"I don't really feel all that good today, can't you take Dabi instead of me?" Toga complained, hoping her plan would work.

Shigaraki sighed, putting two fingers on the bridge of his nose.

"Fine whatever, I don't really care who comes with me, I just need someone." Shigaraki replied.

Toga let out a small sigh of relief, the plan was going as planned. Shigaraki then turned to go and find Dabi. Toga went back down to you.

"Okay, the plan is going good. Shigaraki and Dabi will be leaving in about 5 minutes, that means you will be with your dad again very very soon." Toga said, sitting on the floor in front of you.

"When my daddy comes to get me, I will ask him if I can keep seeing you. You're really nice and I really like you, miss Toga." you say.

Hearing someone say they actually like her made Toga's eyes fill with tears. One rolled down her cheek which you took notice of. You reached your hand out and gently wiped the tear away with your little thumb.

"Please don't cry. I'm sure if my daddy knows how good you've been to me, he'll let us see each other more." you say, your own eyes getting misty.

"Maybe, but I'm a villain and you're the daughter of the number two hero." Toga said, wiping the rest of the tears.

"Maybe so, but to me, you aren't a villain. No one else here was this nice or caring to me like you were. You even thought of a plan if my daddy couldn't find me." you say.

"I just, I want you to have a better childhood than I ever had." Toga explained.

You look at her in confusion. You open you mouth to say something to her, but you were interrupted by Shigaraki yelling down to Toga once more.

"We're leaving now, we'll be back soon. Keep the brat entertained while we're gone." Shigaraki said.

"Yeah yeah, I got it." Toga replied.

The door closed and footsteps could be heard, then the sound of a door opening then closing. Toga looked at you with a soft smile. 

"Your dad and the heroes will be here soon. We should go upstairs and wait." Toga said.

You nod and jump down off the bed, plush still in your arms. Toga gets up off the floor and takes your hand and leads you upstairs. You look around, you had forgotten what the rest of the base had looked like. Toga took you over to the couch and sat down with you, waiting for the heroes to make their entrance.

Meanwhile Hawks was sitting on a ledge of a building, watching the base like a, well like a hawk. Once he had seen Shigaraki and Dabi leave the base, he radioed to Kamui and the other heroes that it was time to move. He flew down to meet the others as Kamui carefully opened the door and walked in, Hawks and the others following. 

After walking down a hallway, they were met with a door.

"Keila is on the other side of this door," Hawks said "be careful that you don't capture her too."

Kamui nodded and opened the door, ready to use his quirk, but was met with no villains. Only the empty room besides you and Toga on the couch. The sound of the door opening made you turn your head. You saw Kamui first, then your dad pushed past and you got up and ran over to him. He knelt down, arms open.

"Daddy!!" you scream, launched yourself into his arms.

"My sweet baby bird! Oh how I missed you!" Hawks said, starting to cry.

Never in your 6 short years have you ever seen or heard your dad cry. You pull back and look him in the eyes.

"Don't cry daddy, I'm okay." you say, looking back at Toga "Miss Toga took real good care of me."

Hawks looked at you then his eyes shifted to Toga as he stood up, picking you up as he stood. Toga got up off the couch, walking over to him.

"Thank you for taking care of her." Hawks said.

"It was no problem, really. I did it all in secret." Toga replied.

"Daddy, can I keep seeing Toga? She is really nice and she's like a big sister to me." you say, your arms around Hawks's neck.

Hawks looked at you then at Toga then back at you.

"I'm sure we can figure something out, princess. For now, we need to get you out here before Shigaraki and Dabi get back." Hawks replied.

"Yay! Thank you daddy!" you squeal. 

"I'll just tell Shigaraki that she managed to escape while I was leaving the room. Please keep her safe, Hawks." Toga said, her eyes going misty again.

"She's my daughter, it's my job to protect her." Hawks replied.

Toga nodded and turned to go sit on the couch again, looking a bit sad.  You looked at her then at your dad.

"Daddy put me down for a second." you ask.

Hawks looks at you then at Toga, nodding as he puts you down. You run over to Toga and launch yourself onto her lap and hug her.

"I'll see you again real soon, ok? Don't be sad." you say with a smile.

Toga hugs you back and starts to cry. She was never one to show emotions or cry, but there was just something about you that made her crack.

"Okay, I won't be sad. Bye for now, Keila" Toga said.

You pull back and nod.

"I won't be sad either. Bye for now, Miss Toga." you say.

You get off her lap and go back over to your dad, who picks you up. You wave bye one last time to Toga before Hawks carries you out of the warehouse and flies you home.

Writer's note: And there you have it, my story is complete. I hope you guys liked it. I need to figure out my next story still, so I will be taking a bit of a break from writing until I get things sorted. For now, I hope you all have a good day/night, hope to see you all again soon, bye!!!
