Aonungs pov

That family is full of freaks. They all have demon blood and I have to teach them all the things we do. No thanks.

That girl though.. shes beautiful. I've never seen anyone like her. But her family are freaks. They dont belong here. They're going to bring a war here. We don't need that.

I wait in the water with Roxto while Tsireya takes the Sully's to their hut. "So what's your deal with that girl?" Roxto asks me raising his eyebrows. "Nothing." I hesitantly answered. "I saw the way you looked at each other. You like her." No way could I like her. Her family all have demon blood.

I shake my head at Roxto and call my ilu over.

Once Tsireya shows where we will be staying, my dad hustles us around into a small circle. " I want to go home." Tuk sulks. I know how he feels. I miss home so much too. I miss the people and mostly miss grandma.

I start to zone out and all I think of is that boy. Aonung. He was very good looking and handsome. I snap back to reality when Neteyam nudges me. "What does your father always say?" Mother asks us. "Sullys stick together." Dad then told us to say it again with more energy. "Sullys stick together." Kiri rolled her eyes which made me giggle a little.

Me and my siblings walk out seeing Tsireya jump into the water. The boys jump in first then the rest of us. We all try following Tsireya and the two boys who have joined us but theyre just too fast. We go up to the surface for a breath and then go back down. Tsireya and Aonung are swimming too fast and getting deeper. I couldn't hold my breath any longer so I quickly paddle all the way back up gasping for air. So did the boys and Tuk.

I pop my head underwater and see Tsireya doing some sort of finger movements. I turn to the boys and they dont know what shes doing either. We look back down and give her a confused look. She waves us over so we take a deep breath in and dive back down. Yet again our lungs couldnt hold on any longer. We frantically go back up for air and look at each other defeated. Tsireya, Aonung and his friend all come back to the surface.

"You guys are not good divers." Aonung laughs. " Sure you swim through trees.." and Tsireya hits him on the chest.

"We dont know this finger talk you guys are doing." Neteyam says to them. I look over to Aonung who has a sneaky grin on his face. It looks like hes up to no good.

We head over to a more shallow area and Aonung starts calling out to something. I look at the water to see these creatures kind of slithering around. "These are ilu, if you want to live here you have to ride." He turns to me and smiles. " I'll teach you while Tsireya teaches the boys." Great.

As we slowly walk farther away from the rest, Aonung calls over an ilu. "Get on." He says while patting the neck of the ilu.

I struggle to get on and suddenly fall. Aonung starts laughing and offers his hand. I grab it and he quickly pulls me up. "Try again."

I carefully place myself on top of the ilu and Aonung shakes his head. "This is very simple.. like this." He gently grabs my thigh and calf and moves it into a different position. I feel myself blush as he grins at me. "Whats the problem?" Aonung asks. I face away from him so he doesnt see my face.

"Focus." He says whilst grabbing my chin and turning my head back to him. I stare at him shocked.

He knows what he's doing.
