Y/n pov

After the ilu riding lessons we all headed back to our huts. "How was it?" Mother asks. The boys say it was good and I just smile. I try walking away and Lo'ak loudly asks "Was Aonung any good at teaching?" I turn to look at him and give him a glare.

"Aonung?" Mother says turning to me. "It's nothing he was teaching me how to ride an ilu that's all." I'm not facing her. She raises her eyebrows and continues cooking.

I couldn't stop thinking about Aonung. I know it's bad for me, he is the chiefs son and I'm probably just a freak to him. I head outside and sit next to Neteyam who's staring into the water.

"Everything alright y/n?" I turn to him and just sigh. "I'm just worried is all." I answer him. He puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer next to him. "I've always got you y/n, your my twin." I nod and we just sit there admiring the water.

Aonungs pov

When I walk into my hut me father looks at me and tells me to sit. "Aonung, I want you to treat the Sully family like your own. They may be different but you cannot cause trouble." I nod at him. Theyre freaks. How can I treat them like family.

I walk out and see y/n sitting next to her brother. She looks sad and tired. I was about to walk over to them but then they got up and went inside.

I sigh and jump in the water. My mother, Tsireya, Kiri the freak and her sister are all swimming around doing theyre own things. How can Tsireya be so kind to 'them'?

I swim over to Roxto's hut and we have a talk about the Sully family.

"I saw something between you and y/n today." He says while giving me a nudge. I look away. "No way, have you seen her family?" I scoff. " What about you and Kiri, I saw you looking at her." Roxto smiles at the comment. "Shes nice, and interesting." He says.

We both sit theyre thinking in silence. No way could we be with them.

I walk back to my hut and think about what tomorrow will be like. Oh yeah, teaching the Sullys. I lay down and close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

Y/n pov

Me and Neteyam both get up and head back inside. Lo'ak, Kiri, Tuk and Dad walk in and we all eat. Tuk starts dancing which makes me laugh. Mother gets up and starts singing and dancing as well. I feel so happy. My family is happy. Were all going to be okay.

As I lay down to sleep Neteyam gently kisses my head. " Goodnight skxawng." He says quietly. "Goodnight Neteyam." I whisper back to him. I hate how he acts like im Tuks age.

I close my eyes and think about what tomorrow will be like. Oh wait, lessons with Aonung and Tsireya. Outstanding.
